ELS One World Essay Contest 2015

ELS Educational Services, Inc. recently declared submissions open for their Many Languages, One World essay contest which invites students from recognized universities all over the world to submit their essays. The contest is sponsored by the United Nations in order to support their sustainability goals for the future and promote the continued impact of linguistic multiculturality upon the organization and the world at large. Those who write an essay selected by the appointed panel will win a trip to US and will be taken to New York to participate in the United Nations Global Youth Forum and ELS Preparatory Conference.

The topic of the essay ought to be post-2015 global development which is fostered by greater co-operation and interaction between culturally and linguistically diverse nations around the world. The essay itself should be no more than 2000 words and in one of the six official languages of the United Nations: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Only students above 18 years of age and currently enrolled in a recognized university are eligible for the contest. Also the essay must be endorsed by a University Faculty Member or Authorized Representative who will certify it is the applicants' original, unaided work.

70 Students will be selected as delegates to the 2015 United Nations Academic Impact Global Youth Forum where they will create plans of action related to the United Nations Post-2015 Global Development Agenda. The students will present these plans of action at United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
