Candidates seeking admission to AICTE approved MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBA Courses are hereby informed that a Common Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted for the admission to these courses as per the schedule given below:

Candidates seeking admission to AICTE approved full time MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDBA course are hereby informed that Common Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted as per the schedule given below:


CET Date of MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2008 17th February 2008 (Sunday)
Admission to first year of two year full time post graduate degree courses in Management namely Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Master of Management Studies (MMS) and Post Graduate Diploma Courses in Business Management (PGDBM)/Business Administration (PGDBA).

The institutes which qualify for the admission process as per these rules are:

• Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

• Recognised by the Government of Maharashtra.

• Affiliated to any one of the ten Non Agricultural / Non Technological Universities in Maharashtra state.

Following are the types of Institutes in the Maharashtra state covered by these rules;

a) All Government Management Institutes

b) All University Departments of Management

c) All University Managed Management Institutes

d) All Unaided Management Institutes whose Association has given consent to participate in the CAP rounds conducted by the State Government.

The admission to the courses MBA/MMS is centralized and is covered under Centralized Admission Process (CAP) carried by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra.

2. Online submission of the “CET Application Form” through computer connected to Internet on the web site www.dte.org.in/mba for Maharashtra State /OMS/J&K candidates and receipt of the Hall Ticket for the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2008.

COMPUTER BASED ONLINE ENTRANCE TEST

The salient features of the computer based ONLINE entrance test are:

The candidate sits in front of the computer and the questions are presented on the monitor and the candidate submits his answers through the use of mouse.The computer is connected to the server, which delivers the test, in real time through a reliable connectivity.

Online Entrance Test assumes that the candidate has basic familiarity with use of computers like use of keyboard and mouse operation. It is the responsibility of the candidate to acquire these skills before appearing in the test and the University cannot take responsibility for the same.

In the rare and unlikely event of a technical failure during the test, the candidate may be required to attempt for the test again.

Candidates must visit the site regularly to obtain latest news, information and updates on online entrance test.

ONLINE BOOKING PASSWORD

You are required to enter the application number and online booking password to log in to the Online Test Booking System.

The security of your online booking password is totally your responsibility. Manipal University will not be held accountable or responsible for any claim or loss that results directly or indirectly from any unauthorized use or misuse of your online booking password.

The online booking password must be kept confidential. Do not disclose it with others or write them down or store them in a file on your computer or autosave passwords.
