DESIGN and PATTERN MAKING :
Fashion creation – Fashion design/Pattern making/Accessories Progamme A program divided in 3 years : 4th year in Paris for a Bachelors certificate from the Perpignon University France. Courses are supplemented with practical experience including visits to design studios, hands-on projects and internships.
As shown on the above chart, student time is strongly invested in building the students’ design sensibility, draping and pattern making skill and French language proficiency.

Indian fashion varies from one village to another village, from one city to another city. Indian’s fashion is rich in tradition, vibrant in colours and prepossessing. Thus MOD’ART thinks that it could be very interesting to form students who have this strong Indian fashion culture with the French techniques and knowledge in the fashion area. According to our company it could open new ways for the international fashion.

1st year : the basic needs of the profession

Modules are :
• Fashion design : Textile training, Awakening of color sensibility, designing of a mini collection…
• Pattern making : Learning the techniques of flat cutting and draping on a model, Assembling techniques, Creating and making up clothes….
2nd year : Immersion in the professional world

Modules :
• Fashion design: Women’s and men’s Fashion, Lingerie, Knitwear, Accessories, Children’s wear, Sportswear, Style study, Making up a collection.
• Pattern making: Pattern making workshop, Researching and creating volume, making patterns, Necessary materials, Collection components.
• Illustration and art – study of figures stylised and live drawing. Rendering in mixed media. Rendering of clothing in textures and collection presentation.

3rd year : Create your own collection
The students complete their training with the C.A.O (Computer Aid Design)

Modules are :
• Fashion design : Luxury module, Designer module, Ready to wear module, Communication, Personal collection
• Pattern making : from fabric to prototype, module production, making up one’s own collection

Validations : permanent monitoring, semestrial tests, final exam set at the end of each year, a Certificate of graduation
The length of the internships will increase each year

4th year : Bachelor(Hons) Fashion Management and Textile

Paris remains unrivalled as the world’s capital of fashion. It is the city of lights and glamour, renowned for its creative energy. Many of fashion’s biggest names, Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga or Kenzo have called Paris home. MOD’ART recognises India and particularly Mumbai as one of the future major players of international fashion by opening a school there. Thanks to the Paris’ main campus, Mumbai’s students can decide to study abroad, in France, for their final year of enrolment.

Eligibility for MMST

The eligibility criterion for admission to MMST students is MBBS Degree (recognised by Medical Council of India) with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate and having studied mathematics at +2 level (even as additional subject) or from any recognized Open University. Seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates and persons with disability as per Govt. of India rules.

Mode of Selection

MMST students - The selection of is strictly based on the performance of the candidates in an objective type of written test of 2 hours duration. The candidate needs to answer 120 questions of one mark each (no negative marking) out of which 75 questions are from MBBS syllabi. The remaining questions are equally distributed to cover the syllabi of +2 level Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, Candidates qualifying in the admission test will be called for counseling at IIT Kharagpur before final selection.

Application Procedure

MMST 2008 application is to be submitted only by an ONLINE process (internet based) by accessing the website http://gate/iitkgp.ac.in/mmst from 4 February 2008 till 29 February 2008. The candidate should first pay the Application Fee by obtaining a Demand Draft drawn in favour of IIT Kharagpur on any nationalised bank payable at Kharagpur, West Bengal. The draft details are require while filling up the ONLINE application form after successful submission of data. The printed form, with candidate's signature and photograph pasted at appropriate place, and the Demand Draft must be sent by speed post so as to reach by 7 March 2008 to The Chairman, GATE, IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur - 721302.

Following additional documents should be mailed along with the printed Application Form :

1. Attested copy of SC/ST/PD certificate (if applicable)
2. Attested copy of MBBS Degree (recognized by MCI) with mark sheet as a proof of obtaining a minimum of 55% marks in aggreagate.
3. Attested copy of proof of having studies Mathematics at +2 level (even as an additional subject)

Application Fees
Rs. 1000/- for Genral Category and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST Category.

Admit Card
Admit Card is issued only to eligible candidates who submit the application form completed in all respects before the closing date. It should normally reach the candidates by 10.04.2008. If it is not received by this date, the Chairman GATE IIT Kharagpur should be contacted for necessary action. The admit card should be preserved by the candidate even after the examination for the purpose of counseling.

Admission Test
The admission test is of objective type to identify the aptitude of the candidates for a program like MMST. The test is of two hours duration and held between 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon on Sunday, 20 April 2008. Counseling
On the basis of performance in the written test a list of qualified candidates will be prepared and these candidates are called for counseling at IIT Kharagpur on 21 June 2008 (tentatively). before final selection is made for admission.

PGDBA Indo-German Training Centre admissions 2008 opens

The Indo-German Training Centre (IGTC) is a training initiative of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), which is registered under Section 25 of the Companies' Act 1956. IGCC has not sought approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for conducting the Post Graduate Program in Business Administration

Eligibility
Fresh / experienced graduates and company-sponsored candidates with over 50% aggregate marks can apply. Students appearing for their final year examination in April - May, 2008 may also apply. They will need to produce documentary evidence of having passed the examination with a minimum of 50% before commencement of the program, failing which their admission will be cancelled and no refund of fees will be given.

Stage II: Personal Interview

The partnering member companies select their desired trainees from a diverse application pool of bright engineering, science, commerce, business management and arts graduates, who could be groomed to meet the company requirements for future managerial talent. As a part of the absolutely unique selection process, every meritorious applicant faces an interview panel comprising of multiple companies, while some of them even face multiple rounds of interviews to obtain a training place in the company. At the end of the interviewing process, participating companies give their final endorsements for their preferred trainees, based on which the candidates are admitted to IGTC.

*The selection criteria is purely merit based and as per the requirements of the participating training companies. The decision of the IGTC Director on all admission matters is final and binding. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Any grievance/dispute arising thereof falls only within the jurisdiction of the High Court of Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra. In case, due to exigency of situation, the centre is required to make any changes to the program, such changes will be displayed on our website / office notice board, which will be considered as final.

Note: Reputed banks sanction study loans for full fee amount to IGTC students. The terms and conditions of such loans are kept simple and do not require collateral guarantee.

Students can download the application form by www.igtcindia.com or alternatively purchase the application form from any of the Indo-German Training Centres or Indo-German Chamber of Commerce offices. The cost of the application form and prospectus is Rs. 1000/-. Payments are accepted in cash/demand draft only drawn in favor of ‘Indo-German Training Centre’. All forms must be returned clearly indicating the preferred location – Mumbai, Chennai or Bangalore – to the respective Centres.
