UQIDAR Joint PhD Programmes 2021

UQIDAR Joint PhD Programmes 2021

UQ-IITD Academy of Research (UQIDAR) has announced Admission to Joint PhD programmes for June-July 2021 session. Australia’s University of Queensland (UQ), a top 50 global university, and IIT Delhi, an Institution of Eminence, had come together and established the UQ-IITD Academy of Research (UQIDAR) to run a joint PhD programme to support scholars across diverse discipline areas to deliver global impact.

In India, PhD Admission takes place in two sessions: June-July semester and December-January semester.  Following PhD Admission Open in UQIDAR for July 2021 session, it appears that other universities will now commence their PhD Admission process soon.

Eligible candidates should submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by 26 February 2021. If the EOI is of interest, the candidate will be invited to apply on the online applications portal between 1-30 March, 2021.

There are two PhD pathways to consider: i-students and q-students.

Indian nationals and international applicants (with citizenship other than Australia), will be considered for admission as i-students. i-students will spend their first year of study at IITD before completing one year (or more) at UQ. They would then complete the remainder of their studies at IIT Delhi.

Australian domestic students will be considered for admission as q-students. q-students will spend their first year of study at UQ before completing one year (or more) at IIT Delhi.
