IIT Post Graduate Program for Executives for Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing -PGPEX-VLM

PGPEX-VLM is a unique program that fulfils the current industry’s growing demand for techno-managerial leaders who shape the neo-industrial revolution. Laden with latest management skills and cutting-edge technology knowledge, these vanguards are being readied for meeting the challenges offered by the new wave of business enterprises that thrive on information as they strive for the "Triple Bottom line".

This one year full time residential program has a built in manufacturing focus that helps to appreciate an industry’s metamorphosis in competitive times. The course is being conducted jointly by 3 premier institutes of India viz. IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras.The course has been designed by these institutes in consultation with industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC) and Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Eligibility :

Graduate Engineers with First Division/ First Class Marks from SLC/ Madhyamik with minimum 41/2 years to maximum 10 years work experience (for self sponsored candidates) and minimum 41/2 years work experience (for sponsored/ on study leave) in manufacturing, engineering, related sectors may apply for admission in 2014-15 academic session commencing from 01/04/2014 at IIM Calcutta.


Last date of submission of Application Form with application processing fee of Rs.2,500 by DD in favour of “Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur” payable at Kanpur is 29/11/2013.

A Joint IIM - IIT Post Graduate Program leading to award of Post Graduate Diploma in Management for Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing for Engineering Graduates with minimum of 5 years and maximum of 10 years work experience in Manufacturing Sector. Candidates can be self paying or on study leave sponsored by their company. Max experience requirement is waived for company sponsored candidates. Candidates should have first class or equivalent from High School / Secondary Board onwards

The objectives, contents, curriculum, pedagogy, and modalities of the PGPEX-VLM Program have been designed by the IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras in consultation with industry, Confederation of Indian Industry, Japanese International Cooperation Agency, NMCC and MHRD.Application form and brochure may be downloaded from website www.vlm.iitm.ac.in. Completed application forms along with demand draft of Rs.2,000/- in favour of "IIT Madras" payable at chennai,will be considered

Selection will be based on academic record, work experience, aptitude test, and personal interview to be held on 12th December, 2010 at IIT Kanpur.
