Applications are invited from Indian citizens for admission for the session commencing from July 2011 in the following programmes :

M.Tech and Ph.D (Engineering)-: Aerospace, Biological Sciences and Bio-Engg., Chemical, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical, Industrial and Management Engineering (all areas of Management ), Materials Science and Engg. Materials Science Programme, Mechanical, Nuclear Engg and Technology Programme.

Ph.D Sciences-: Chemistry, Mathematics Statistics Physics

Ph.D (Humanities and Social Sciences) -: Economics English (Literature and Linguistics) Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology

M.Tech-: Environmental engg. and Management, Laser Technology

M.Des -: Design.

Registrar (Academic), IIT Kanpur, Kanpur - 208 016 personally or by sending the request for the same along with a self-addressed and stamped (Rs.30) cloth-lined envelope of 23cm x 17 cm with a clear identification for the programme applied for

Forms can be obtained personally from the Academic Section upto April 15, 2011. Photocopies or forms downloaded from the website are also acceptable. Indian Institutes of Technology joint Admission Test for M.Sc. 2011

JAM 2011 will be held on Sunday 8th may, 2011, for admission to M.Sc (Two Years) Joint M.Sc, Ph.D Ph.D Dual Degree and other post - bachelor degree programmes at the IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) for the academic year 2011 - 12.

The M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D, M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree and other post-bachelor degree programmes at the IITs offer high quality education in their respective disciplines, comparable to the best in the world.
