The Department of Economics (Autonomous), University of Mumbai in collaboration with College of Insurance, Insurance Institute of India, and Mumbai offers One Year Post Graduate Diploma in Health Insurance. Admissions to this program shall be based on academic merit and personal interview; Candidates having a 3 year bachelors' degree from University of Mumbai or any other recognized university or equivalent.

Post Graduate Diploma in Health Insurance program is targeted for providing insurance knowledge to those engaged in or aspiring for a career in health industry with specific reference to health insurance segment. The target group of candidates is those engaged as executives, managers, branch officials, of the insurance industry or the health industry who are directly involved into the health insurance segment, those who wish to obtain a cross-functional knowledge and those who are planning to take up a career in health sector.

Eligibility: Three years bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline from University of Mumbai, or of any other recognized university or its equivalent.

Institute of Insurance and Risk Management-IIRM Distance International PG Insurance Courses Admissions 2013

IIRM set up jointly by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India-IRDA and Government of Andhra Pradesh

The following Courses are offered under IIRM distance mode.

* International Post Graduate Diploma in Life Insurance(IPGDLI)

* International Post Graduate Diploma in General Insurance(IPGDGI)

* International Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management (IPGDRM)

Eligibility:
(i) Employed professionals with minimum Graduate Degree in any discipline (including Engg and Management) from a recognised university/Institute with at least 50% marks. Candidates with professional qualifications like CA, ICWAI, CS are also eligible.

(ii) Self employed Graduates of any discipline (with minimum 50% marks) and aged 30 years and above may also be considered for admission

(iii) Employment is an essential criteria for admission. Employed candidates will be considered only if their applications are forwarded by their Employers.

Completed Applications are to be duly forwarded by their Employers (this is not required for self employed category of candidates) or without diluting the stipulation, the candidates can produce satisfactory proof of employment which may be accepted by IIRM, to the Institute by courier / registered post with copies of all certificates and Demand Draft for Rs. 337/- (application fee Rs.300/- and Rs.37/- towards service tax @ 12.36%) on or before May 31st , 2013. Applications received after the due date and incomplete / defective applications without registration fees will not be entertained. Foreign / NRI candidates have to obtain Demand Draft for US $ 34/- (application fee USD.30/- and USD.4/- towards service tax) on or before May 31st , 2013 towards Registration Fee.

Eligibility: Graduates of any discipline including engineers from any recognized University (with a minimum of 50% marks) or any professional qualification. Post Graduates of any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks even if the candidates secure less than 50% in their graduation.

Applications can be obtained from the Institute against payment of Rs.300/-plus service tax currently at 12.36%(ie Rs.338/-) payable by demand draft from any scheduled bank. The demand draft payable at Hyderabad should be favouring IIRM.

Applications can also be downloaded from the Institute’s website and sent to the Institute along with a DD for Rs.300/-.

Duration : It is a full time, two semesters, One Academic Year programme
Eligibility : Graduates of any discipline including engineers from any recognized University (with a minimum of 50% marks). If the candidates secure less than 50% in their graduation.

Accreditation : IPGDI (Life and General) and IPGDRM courses are accredited by Chartered Insurance Institute, London. also by Insurance Institute of India (III), Mumbai.

IRDA has recognized IPGD courses to be on a par with Fellowship of III Mumbai Institute as suitable certificate for placement into Insurance sector.

Selection Process: Personal Interview.

Course Fee : Rs.2,25,000/- for entire course service tax as applicable is payable by the candidate
