The Institute of Mathematics and Applications-IOMA Odisha is offering two futuristic and innovative programmes. Both the programmes have already been approved by the Govt. of Odisha and are affiliated to the Utkal University.
* B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics and Computing:
This is a three year full time course aimed to pursue a career in research in mathematical sciences. Besides, there are other career options in corporate houses. A scholarship of Rs 2500/- per month would be available to some meritorious students.
Eligibility: Candidate must have passed/appeared Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent from any stream with Mathematics as a subject. Application fee is Rs 100/- (except SC/ST candidates)
* M.A/M.Sc and Diploma in Computational Finance:
This is a two year programme to provide the practical skills and theoretical understanding of financial models used in service sectors.
Eligibility: Candidate must have passed/appeared Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics/Statistics as a core subject.Application fee is Rs 350/-.
Application form and prospectus can be collected from Institute’s counter from 10:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.in working days or downloaded from www.iomaorissa.ac.in link or by post sending postal charge Rs 50/- and the appropriate fees in favour of Director, Institute of Mathematics and Applications payable at Bhubaneswar.

MBA Agri-Business Admissions 2009 Utkal University
Utkal University MBA(Agri-Business) Admissions 2009
The Utkal University is the seventeenth oldest university in India, located in an area of 400 acres, having 27 P.G Departments. The University has a central library with 4,00,000 books and a hi-tech advanced teaching aids with broadband enabled computer lab.
Department of Business Administration, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar is one of the few management schools in eastern India,also providing MBA education India which offers Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management. The MBA(Agri-Business) programme has tremendous potential for gainful employment and career advancement.
The program prepares students for managerial and entrepreneurial careers in enterprises serving or dependent on agriculture and allied sectors. These enterprises may be engaged in activities such as :
Production and Marketing of Inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, farm machinery and equipment and credit,Production, Procurement, Processing and marketing of output such as for agriculture (crops, livestock, fisheries, forestry, agro-forestry, horticulture, dairying) marketing, food retailing, agro processing and food processing.
Providing services to Agriculture such as export & import, commodity trading, rural banking, financing agri projects, insurance, logistics and supply chain management, etc.
Admission Procedure-:
The minimum Qualification for admission into the programme is a Bachelors degree with at least second division or equivalent OGPA in Agriculture or allied subjects, Veterinary Science or Dairy Technology, Food Technology from any Agricultural University or Degree in Bio Technology / Microbiology /Life Science / Commerce from any Institution recognized by the ICAR / UGC.Candidates who are yet to complete their graduation this year and are unable to submit their provisional certificate and mark sheet along with the application may also apply.
A multi-stage, selection procedure will be followed for admitting candidates, as described below: All applicants fulfilling the eligibility criteria for application will be invited on the basis of MAT / MANAGE / CAT score to appear for the G.D & P.I.

Eligibility:

They must, however, submit along with their application, their mark sheets/grade card indicating the cumulative marks/OGPA till the previous year/semester and also indicate the same in the application form. Their provisional eligibility will be decided based on the same. If selected, they may seek provisional admission into the programme on payment of the required fee and other charges as specified. After joining the programme, they will have to submit the provisional degree certificate and aggregate marks/OGPA latest by August 31, 2008 failing which the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled. There will be no refund of fee paid by the students, in the event of the cancellation of their admission for the above or any other reasons or withdrawal by the student. All applicants are required to submit Xerox / attested copies of a complete set of documents as indicated in the application form, at the time of enrolment. They must produce the original documents for verification at the time of admission.
Reservation:
The reservation for SC, ST and Physically handicapped candidates is applicable as per the University rules, subject to meeting the other eligibility criteria for admission
