Calicut University Distance Education MBA Admissions through entrance examination
Eligibility: Any recognised Degree with not less than 50% marks (including languages). Open Stream Degree holders of Calicut University can also apply. Programmes of other University/ Institution should be in the 10+2+3 pattern under regular stream. Candidates awaiting degree results may also apply.
SC/ST/OBC/OEC candidates shall be given relaxation as per University rules.
To Apply: Apply online through the University website.To get the application form & Prospectus click the link MBA Entrance (CUMAT SDE 2012) in the Home page of University website (www.universityofcalicut.info). After applying online, the photo in the printout should be attested by gazetted officer.
The Entrance Exam fee is 1000 for resident candidates and USD 100 for overseas candidates ( 500/- for SC/ST candidates if attested copy of Community Certificate is submitted). The fee can be remitted in Malappuram District in the Head of account: 8443-00-106 PD Account of Calicut University. Other districts 8658-00-102-96(02) CUS. State Bank of Travancore selected branches: No. II current account of Finance Officer, Calicut University. Fee can also be remitted in Friends Janasevana Kendrams under the jurisdiction of Calicut University and Calicut University cash counter. Fee by way of Demand Draft is acceptable only in the case of candidates residing outside Kerala. They should draw the DD in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Calicut, payable at State Bank of Travancore, Calicut University Branch.
The printout accompanied by original challan receipt and two self addressed ( 5) stamped envelopes (SC/ST candidates must attach attested copy of Community Certificate) have to be forwarded to the Director, School of Distance Education, University of Calicut, Calicut University (P.O.), Malappuram, Pin-673 635, Kerala before 28.07.2012.

Last Date of receipt of Printout with Chalan Receipt : 28.07.2012
Date of Entrance Exam : 12.08.2012

Trivandrum, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Calicut, Malappuram, Palakkad and Kottayam.
Outside Kerala:
Mumbai.
Overseas:
Sharjah, Ras-Al-Khaimah, Abudhabi and Kuwait.

M.Sc.Mathematics :
50% in Part III BSc. Maths main excluding sub or B.Sc. Maths +MCA
M.Com Finance/Marketing:
45% in B.Com Part II/BBA/BBS/BBM
M.A.Economics:
45% in B.A. Part III Economics main excluding sub / B.Com/ 60%
in Part III of B.Sc. Maths/Statistics
M.A.Sociology, History, Political Science, Philosophy:
45% in Part III of any Bachelors Degree
M.A English, Malayalam, Hindi, Arabic, Sanskrit, Tamil:
45%in Part III B.A. of the concerned subjects or Part II of B.A./B.Sc(Part I English for M.A.English) (3 papers) or equivalent
Distance Under Graduate courses and Eligibility
B.A.History Economics, Political Science, Sociology, English, Malayalam, Arabic, Philosophy, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil :
Pass in Kerala +2 or equivalent
B.Com Co-operation/Finance :
Pass in Kerala +2 with atleast one commerce subject or 45% marks in Kerala +2 or equivalent or diploma in Commercial Practice
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) :
50% marks in Kerala +2 or equivalent
B.Sc. Maths:
Pass in Kerala +2 with Maths as a subject in Part III or equivalent exam
BLISc:
50% marks in any degree exam,
Distance Bachelor of Multimedia Communication:
Candidates should apply through the following Programme Centres: JDT Islam College of Arts & Science, Calicut/ Vismayam School of Animation and Special Effects, Pavamani Road, Calicut/ Auriga, College of Media Studies, Thalasssery.
Eligibility, 45% marks in Kerala +2 or equivalent.
Distance Diploma in Hotel Management & Culinary Science/Catering
Eligibility Pass in Kerala +2 or equivalent exam. Candidates should apply through the Programme Centre, Blessed Chavara Educational Society, West Hill, Calicut.
Relaxation in requirement of minimum marks will be given as per rules. (see prospectus) Candidates from abroad and outside Kerala should apply through approved counselling centres which are available in the University Website
Admission Procedure :
