WBJEE 2015 Examination Postponed to May 5-6

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination 2015 (WBJEE 2015), which was previously scheduled to be held on April 18 and April 19, 2015, has been rescheduled to be held on May 5 and May 6, 2015.

The WBJEEB has decided to re-open the on-line registration process which will continue upto 28.02.2015 and uploading of image(s) will continue up to 02.03.2015. The last date of submission of fees in Allahabad Bank / through debit / credit card has also been extended upto 04.03.2015.

It may please be noted by the concerned candidates that the correction window will be opened on 09.03.2015 instead of 06.03.2015 and be available upto 16.03.2015 to allow the candidates to correct the individual personal data base, if necessary. During this period, every candidate will get one chance only to update data.

It is being further notified for all concerned that the dates of examination have been rescheduled as follows:
Biological Science 05.05.2015 (1 PM to 4PM)
Mathematics 06.05.2015 (12 Noon to 2 PM)
Physics & Chemistry 06.05.2015 (3 PM to 5 PM)

WBJEE 2013 Application Process

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations-WBJEE 2013 admissions to undergraduate degree level Engineering & Technology courses including Pharmacy and Architecture in different Universities / Government Colleges as well as Self Financing Institutes of West Bengal.

Date of WBJEE 2013 Examination : 21.04.2013 (Sunday)

Eligibility :
For Engineering/Technology & B. Pharm courses other than Marine Engineering:
Candidates must pass Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) and with at least 30% marks in English (for all categories of candidates) besides having individual pass marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject).

For Marine Engineering Course: Candidates must pass Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together and with at least 50% marks in English either in 10th or in 12th Standard besides having individual pass marks in each of Physics,
Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject).

For Architecture Course: A candidate, besides satisfying the eligibility criteria as
above,must qualify in the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi and necessary document in this regard is to be produced at the time of Counselling.

JEE-WEST BENGAL EXAM INFORMATION

WEST-BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, 2008 (JEM-2008)
Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering/Technology/ Medical/Dental /Veterinary and Pharmacy in Universities/Colleges in West Bengal and B. Arch Course in Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur and Jadavpur University for the academic session 2008-2009, on the basis of a JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, to be conducted by the "WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD".

Eligibility Criteria : The applicant must be a citizen of India and should have passed the H.S.(10+2) or its equivalent examination. The general candidates must have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biological Sciences taken together (40% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30% marks in English (for all categories). In addition, candidates must secure at least pass marks in the subjects individually including vernacular (or any other fifth subject) as mentioned below:

B.E/B.Tech./B.Arch :Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and vernacular or any other fifth subject.

M.B.B.S/B.D.S/B.V. Sc : Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, English and vernacular or any other fifth subject.

PHARMACY: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biological Sciences, English and vernacular or any other fifth subject.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2008, will be allowed to sit for JEM-2008 provisionally and their admission, if merit listed, will be subjected to satisfying the minimum requirements of eligibility as specified above

Age Restriction : Applicant shall be between 17 years and 24 years of age on 31st December 2008.

Residential Requirements: For admissions to Medical / Dental / Veterinary courses and for admission to Engineering /Technological/Architecture/Pharmaceutical courses in Government Engineering /Technological Colleges / State Universities, candidate must be resident of West Bengal for a period of not less than 10 (ten) years uninterruptedly / continuously as on 31.12.2007 or their parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal having their permanent home address in West Bengal.

Reservation : Reservation for SC/ST/PC candidates are as per State Govt. Rules.

Examination Centre: To be located in the State of West Bengal and Tripura.

Cost of Application Form : The WBJEE 2008 Application Kit (i.e., prescribed printed application form along with Information Brochure and a printed envelope) will be available from different Branches of United Bank of India (as specified below) on payment of Rs.500/- (for E / M type Form) and Rs.600/- for C type Form in cash .



Sale of Application form : The Application Kit will be available from 05.12.2007 to 04.01.2008 at the following Branches of UNITED BANK OF INDIA : Old Court House St., College St, Sealdah, Shyambazar, Jadavpur, Behala, Mayukh Bhawan – Salt Lake,
B. E. College Extn. Counter and at Asansol, Durgapur City Centre, Burdwan (Main Branch), Katwa (Station Rd.), Serampore, Chinsurah,
Arambag, Kalyani, Krishnagar, Barasat, Diamond Harbour, Kolaghat Haldia, Kharagpur, Suri, Bolpur, Bankura, Purulia, Berhampur, Raiganj, Balurghat, Malda, Siliguri, Darjeeling (25, H.D. Lama Rd.) Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Agartala (Tripura) on all working days between banking hours on payment of requisite fee.


The Application Kit may also be obtained by Post from the Board on application with an additional fee of Rs.80/- (Rupees eighty) only. The total amount (i.e., cost of application form plus Rs.80/-) has to be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of “WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD” payable at Howrah/Kolkata. The last date for request by post for application form including Information Brochure is 18.12.2007 and the last date for receipt of completed application form
by Speed Post only is 09.01.2008. Request for application form received beyond the stipulated date as mentioned above will not be entertained and the Board shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for such non-receipt arising out of postal delay. The application form once purchased cannot be returned or replaced.


How to Apply : The duly filled in application form must be sent in the printed envelope received by the candidate within the Application
Kit by SPEED POST only so as to reach the office of the Board by 09.01.2008. Submission of Application Form by hand or courier service
will not be accepted. There is no provision for selling or receiving the application form with late fee from the Board office.
