Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), Gandhinagar admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program in Business Entrepreneurship (BE) and Development Studies (DS) for the 2015 session

EDI, an autonomous institution set up in 1983 as a pioneering institute for Entrepreneurship Development and Training in India and around the globe.

EDI conceptualized 'Entrepreneurship Development' in a 'movement' format and has expanded its concern, starting with urban to include rural too.

Eligibility Criteria :

For PGDM in Business Entrepreneurship Program: Candidates with three-year (10+2+3) University Degree in any discipline or a four year (10+2+4) Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine/ other, recognized by the UGC/ AIU/ AICTE are eligible to apply.

For PGDM in Development Studies Program: Graduates with 50% marks and valid CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA scores are eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure :

The admission process consists of taking any of these tests-CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT.
Eligible candidates will be called for the Entrepreneurial Aptitude Test (EAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

Candidates can download the application form from their official website.
The duly filled in downloaded form should be sent to EDI along with a demand draft of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of 'Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India', payable at Ahmedabad or by transferring Rs1000/- to the EDI PG admission account.

for New Business Aspirants and Successors of Family Businesses

Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Development Sector and Social Entrepreneurship (PGDM-DS & SE) 2011 - 13 for creating Development Professionals and Social Entrepreneurs.

Eligibility - Graduate with 50% marks. CAT,MAT and XAT aspirants can also apply. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Business Entrepreneurship(PGDM-BE)

The programme offers competency-based training that is targeted at:
Graduates who intend to launch and manage business units,
Family businesses intending to develop their potential successors or associates with graduation background, in professional skills over a relatively shorter duration,
Business firms who would like to sponsor their graduate employees with a view to reducing their dependency on employment and/or encouraging them to form a strong ancillary base, with the objective to:
develop them as entrepreneurs (New Enterprise Creation, Agri-Entrepreneurship, Services Management) or
develop their capabilities to join and manage family business (Management of Family Business).

The course offers four specializations
1}New Enterprise Creation
2)Family Business Management
3)Agri-Entrepreneurship
4)Services Management

Eligibility-:
Any graduate with at least 50% marks.Students appearing for the final degree examination can also apply.Limited number of fellowships/soft loans available.
