FYJC admissions 2019 Admission process Starts 19 June

The online admission process for the first year junior colleges will begin Wednesday. The admission process will be concluded on August 3 with the special round.

The zero Round for admission to Arts, Commerce, Science streams, Bifocal subject and HSVC streams begins on June 19, 2019 and ends on June 23, 2019. In this round, candidates who have not filled Part I and Part II of the admission forms will fill both Part I and Part II and those who have filled Part I will fill Part II.

For Arts, Commerce and Science streams, candidates can apply between June 19 to June 29, up to 5 pm. The merit list for quota admissions will be declared at college level and colleges will upload the quota admission from time to time. The merit list for bifocal subject will be displayed on June 25, 2019 at 6 pm. Online admissions for Bifocal merit list are open from 11 am to 5 pm on June 26,2019 and June 27, 2019. If there are any corrections in the general merit list, they will be displayed at 11 am on July 1,2019. Corrections can be submitted to Deputy Director of Education between 10 am and 5 pm on July 2, 2019 and July 3, 2019.

The first general merit list will be displayed at 6 pm on July 6, 2019. General admissions for online merit list will be done between 11 am and 5 pm on July 8 and July 9, and from 11 am to 3 pm on July 10. The vacancy list and cut off of the first merit list will be published on the website at 7 pm on July 10, 2019. The process of filling Part-I and Part-II of admission forms and editing Part-II can be completed between 11 am to 5 pm on July 11 and July 12.

The second merit list will be displayed at 6 pm on July 15, 2019. Students can take admission for the general merit list on July 16 and July 11 (between 11 am and 5 pm) and on July 17 (between 11 am to 3 pm). The vacancy list will be published on the website at 7 pm on July 18, 2019. Students can fill Part-I and Part-II of the admission forms and edit Part-II on July 19 and July 20 between 11 am and 5 pm.

The third merit list will be published on July 23, 2019 at 6 pm. Students who wish to take admission through the third general merit list can do so between 11 am to 5 pm on July 24 and July 25. Admission can also be taken on July 26 between 11 am and 3 pm. The vacant seats and cut-off for the special round will be published on July 26, 2019 at 7 pm. Students can fill both the admission forms and edit Part-II on July 27 and July 29 between 11 am to 5 pm.

The first merit list for the FYJC online admissions announced on Wednesday saw 93 per cent as the highest cut-off in some of the top junior colleges in the city in the arts, science and commerce streams

Students who have been allotted a seat in the first merit list should visit the colleges on July 3, 4 and 5 up to 3pm and secure provisional admission. The second list is scheduled on July 9, 2014.

FYJC First Merit List 2014 Admissions Process :

Applicants whose names appear in the merit list of a particular junior college should fill up the admission form of that junior college, attach all the relevant documents in original with photocopies, and must secure a provisional admission in that junior college within the stipulated time on payment of Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty only), failing which they will have no claim in that junior college for that sub stream, will not be eligible for betterment and their names will be dropped from all the subsequent merit lists.

Subject to the merit, ascending order of preference of the applicant & vacancy, a betterment option may be available only once & only to those applicants, whose names have appeared in the earlier merit list for a stream, and who have secured provisional admission in the Junior College allocated to them

Upon Securing admission in the allotted Junior College, the applicant shall receive system generated 'Admission Confirmation Letter' from the respective Junior College immediately or within one day from the date of admission.

Upon cancellation of admission from the Junior college, the applicant shall receive system generated 'Admission Cancellation Letter' from the respective Junior College 'immediately'.

FYJC Mumbai form submission extended till 27 June

Maharashtra state education department decided to extend the form submission process for junior college admissions by two days.

Now, students can submit forms till 4 pm on June 27. On Thursday, SSC students will get a hard copy of the marksheet from their respective schools.

The first merit list for FYJC admissions will be declared on July 2 at 5pm. The admission process is expected to continue till July 17.

Once a student is allotted a college as per stream selected, he has to pay fees Rs 50/- in stipulated period & secure admission.

A Junior college cannot refuse admission to a student whose name has appeared in the merit list, provided the student approaches the Jr. College within the prescribed time limit. However, admission is subject to authenticity of original documents and payment of necessary fees. In case of any refusal, the student can approach the guidance Center of his/her area.

Those who have not finalised their admission in a college allotted to them in first merit list, will not be allowed to participate in the second round, the merit list for which will be put up on July 25. Students who failed to pay fees in the first round, would may be considered for a seat only in the last round.

Students whose names appear in first merit list of a specific college visit to that college fill up the college admission form attach the original certificates and xerox copies pay the fees and take admission to that college.

Even after student has secured admission as per first merit list student still remain in the process for betterment if seats available

F.Y.J.C. Online Admission 2009 Mumbai

The Maharashtra state education department declared new system for online admissions to junior college F.Y.J.C. Science/Commerce/Arts and other vocational streams in Mumbai region.
Online admissions this year will be compulsory for all students in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Students will have to log on to a website and fill out a single admission form in which they can enter up to 100 colleges that they wish to apply to. A large part of the admission form, including the student’s marks, will have already been filled out by the software. The government has asked the SSC, ICSE and CBSE boards for the necessary information.
Students will then have to print out the form and submit it along with the necessary documents to a designated college with a sum of Rs 125. Of this Rs 125, Rs 50 will go to the college, Rs 25 to MKCL, another Rs 25 to the board (SSC, ICSE, CBSE) for the information they will provide the state and the remainder to the office of the deputy director of education.
Once the forms have been submitted, data from these forms will be fed into the software for online admissions. The software will then draw up the merit list (general category) for the colleges.
Online system was not the same as centralised admissions as the government would not release a single centralised merit list but allow colleges to release separate lists.
Students will be informed of the colleges they have made it to, via email or SMS.
The website, which will be opened 15 days before admissions begin so that students get time to practise, does not have provision for a minority quota. So minority institutions will be asked to fill out this quota in the first seven days of admissions. All those who make it to a college through this quota will then have their names struck off the general merit list.

Proposed Application Facilitation System
Student can choose to apply to whatever number of colleges in one or as many sittings as needed.
Student get a login and password on registering based on seat number at SSC exam.
Student can use any place of access to internet like her own school, own home or any neighbour, cyber cafes etc
Student has to fill a form that creates a profile only once. All colleges will be listed . She selects colleges to apply for from the list. Individual college application form is invoked on the screen and gets populated by the student’s data as soon as opened. All that the student has to do is to make some editing , if at all required and press the button to complete the form. This profile and pending application form for any of the colleges will all be stored for the student .(in student’s area on the server.)
This is optional and not compulsory system of application
Only it will be mandatory for colleges to accept and consider Online applications for admission on par with physical applications..
Physical paper applications and online application will co-exist in parallel
System is for Online Application facilitation.
System has mobile based Payment for Application Processing Fees.
Student receives an acknowledgement as soon as she pays online, whatever be the number of applications. The acknowledgements will be in the form of email from the database of the Deputy Director . It will also be a SMS on the mobile saying application to so-and-so college for so-and-so seat number (at so-and-so board in so-and-so year).It is desirable that the college concerned also sends an email acknowledgement to student’s email address.
The application is recorded in the college applied for, in the Dy Director’s record and in student’s own email.
Admission remains completely the responsibility of the respective colleges, subject to relevant rules.
Colleges are also free to receive applications on paper.
Colleges will have to combine online and paper appplications, remove duplicates and prepare the merit lists.
Rules of admission are not changed due to or by this system.
Colleges continue to have the same autonomy for admission work as they had earlier as per the guidelines of Hon High Court and relevant government rules.
Students will give their seat numbers and will get the marks and some other details extracted from SSC board records which will be made available to this program
A minor service charge of Rs 5 per application will be charged for arranging to pay the application fees and for facilitating online application. This may turn out to be far cheaper than the travel costs, let alone the waste of time of so many people.
