Eligibility-:
* Candidates born on or after 1st July 1988 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2010. They should have studied in regular, full-time, formal stream in the school.
* A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum average of 60% of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM/PCB).
* A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% average marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Biology (PCM/PCB) for
* Candidates belonging to SC / ST.
* Students hailing from Jammu & Kashmir and from the North Eastern States of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
* Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) candidates are eligible for all the programmes.
* Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) candidates are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engg. & Biotechnology programmes.
* Candidates appearing for the 10+2 examination in March / April 2010 are also eligible to apply.

Application forms can be obtained
* from the designated branches of Post Offices on cash payment of Rs.750/-. Details available in the VIT website: www.vit.ac.in
* by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.750/- drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore, to the Admissions Officer with a request letter containing the full address of the applicant
* by handing over a DD for Rs.750/- in person at VIT University, Vellore (or) at Chennai Administrative Office.

VITMEE 2009 On 7th June 2009

VIT University Tamilnadu will conduct VITMEE - 2009 (VIT Master's Entrance Examination) - will be held on 7th June 2009 (Sunday) for Admission to the following programmes:

Several Scholarships and Assistantships for qualified students

* 100% tuition fee waiver to Gate top Scorer. In addition, a total sum of Rs. 1,68,000/- will be awarded a stipend (paid on monthly basis) for 2 Years.
* A total sum of Rs.1, 70,000/- will be paid as stipend and contingency (monthly and annual basis) for candidates with high GATE scores for MTech Nanotechnology under the DST-Nanotechnology initiative programme
* A stipend of 4800 Euros (Approx. Rs.2.5 lakhs) will be paid during the second year of study at UAS Karlsruhe, Germany (under DAAD fellowship) for MTech Sensor System Technology; this is given to the top GATE or VITMEE scorers.

Eligibility:
Candidates should have graduated with a full-time degree from any recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60% for MCA and 50% for MTech degree programmes.
Consistent Record in X Std. and XII Std. is required.
Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.
Candidates should have completed their final Semester/year exams before the selection interview at VIT University
