The education department has sanctioned 13 new divisions for the science stream and 17 in the commerce stream at 11 junior colleges in Mumbai.
For Thane, the department has sanctioned three new divisions in science, four in commerce and one in arts. These divisions will be permanently unaided. The extra divisions will result in an additional 1,160 seats in the science stream and 1,360 commerce seats for Mumbai. For Thane, this will mean an additional 240 seats in science, 320 in commerce and 80 in arts.
An education department official said the government had cleared the proposals of the colleges that had applied for extra divisions.

whatever changes the education mininster had made for fyjc admission are just failed. till the 3rd round my daughter had not got admission in the stream which she wanted. she is been alloted different stream . now what to do . this is the earning point for all the colleges. they will 101% take advantages of these parents. every parent want their child to get his desired stream and college. now they have to pay lots of donations that will contribute to the colleges black income. can't the education minister think about those people who have lost their jobs due to recession . they are just hardly earning for their livelihood . from where they will pay donations . i think this online process is made just to earn money and nothing else. so please tell is theor any end for this manupulation.
