Anna University M.Sc Admissions 2015

Anna University, Chennai has invited applications for its integrated Master of Science programmes, for the session of 2015. The programme is available in Electronic Media, Computer Science and Information Technology. The students can join the five-year integrated course after passing their Class 12 or any equivalent examination. The interested and eligible candidates can apply according to the given format.

Eligibility criteria:

M.Sc in Electronic Media: The candidates should have passed their Class 12 or Higher Secondary, or any other equivalent examination which is recognised by the Syndicate of Anna University.

M.Sc in Computer Science and Information Technology: The candidates should have passed their Class 12 or Higher Secondary, or any other equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The average marks in all three subjects must be at least 50 percent (OC category), 45 percent (BC category), 40 percent (SC, ST, SCA, MBC and DNC category).

Age limit: The candidates should be less than 21 years of age as on July 1, 2015. The age limit can be relaxed up to three years for candidates under SC, ST and SCA categories.

Application procedure: The application form is available online, at the official website of Anna University, www.annauniv.edu. The candidates are required to fill the form online, upload a good quality photograph and then download and print the completed form. They should then send the hard copy of the form along with self-attested copies of all required documents to 'The Director, Centre for Admissions, Anna University, Chennai- 600025'.

Application fee: Candidates under the General category are required to pay a fee of Rs 700, and those under the SC, ST and SCA categories have to pay Rs 350. The payment can be made through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'The Director, Centre for Admissions, Anna University, Chennai', and payable at Chennai. The DD should be obtained from any nationalised bank on or after May 24.

Applications are invited for Admission to M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes offered in the University departments / Constituent Colleges, Government, Government Aided Engineering Colleges, and Self Financing Engineering Colleges in
Tamilnadu for the seats surrendered for admission through single window (TANCA 2014) counselling.

Candidates should submit separate application for each category as given below.

1. GATE Category

a. GATE (Engineering / Technology) category: Candidates who have a valid GATE 2014 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in the appropriate discipline of Engineering / Technology.

b. GATE Engineering Science (XE) / Life Science (XL) category: Candidates who have a valid GATE 2014 score with qualifying marks for assistantship in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers. Candidates should have also appeared for TANCET 2014 conducted by Anna University.

2. Non-GATE category: (TANCET 2014 score only) Candidates who have appeared for TANCET 2014.

3. Sponsored category: (with TANCET 2014 score) Admission only for University Departments of Anna University, Chennai-25

Candidates should be working in a place within a distance of 90 km from the college to which he/she seeks admission so as to enable him / her to attend the classes regularly by 6.15 p.m. and the place of working should be in Tamil Nadu.
