Eligibility: (A) FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE

I. M.Sc.(Ag.)

Minimum Admission Requirements

B.Sc. (Ag.) degree under 10+2+4 system from a recognized University with good academic record with 6.00 O.G.P.A. out of 10 point scale or 55% in marks system of examination or equivalent grades.

a) In addition to the above, candidates with Bachelor's degree in Forestry/ Horticulture/ Dairy Technology/Veterinary Science are eligible for admission in M.Sc. (Ag.) Biotechnology with good academic record with 6.00 OGPA out of 10 point scale or 55% in mark system of examination or equivalent grades. Rs. 15,000/- (Rs. Fifteen thousand only) per semester will be charged as Bio-Technology Laboratory bench fee including Tuition fees.

b) B.Sc. (Agriculture Biotechnology) graduates shall be eligible for admission in Biotechnology, Plant Breeding & Genetics and Microbiology only.

c) B.Sc. (Horticulture) graduates shall be eligible for admission in Horticulture, Agril. Extension and Agricultural Statistics.

II. M.Sc. (Forestry)

Minimum Admission Requirements

The candidates having B.Sc.(Ag.) under 10+2+4 system/B.Sc. (Biology)/ B.Sc. (Forestry) degree from recognized University with good academic record with 6.00 O.G.P.A. out of 10 point scale or 55% in marks system of examination or equivalent grade are eligible for admission in M.Sc. (Forestry).

III. M.F.Sc. (Inland Fisheries)

Minimum Admission Requirements

B.F.Sc./B.Sc. (Industrial Fisheries)/B.Sc. (Ag.) with Biology at +2 level/B.Sc. (Biology) with Botany, Zoology, Chemistry having good academic record of 6.00 OGPA out of 10 point scale or 55% marks are eligible for admission in M.F.Sc. (Inland Fisheries).

Note: Candidate with B.Sc. Industrial Fisheries/ B.Sc. (Ag.)/B.Sc. (Biology) shall have to undertake additional 2 semesters for deficiency courses.

V. M.Tech.

Minimum Admission Requirements

1. Dairy Technology

B.Tech.(Dairy Technology), B.Sc. Dairying, B.Sc. Dairying (Dairy Technology), B.Sc. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Sc. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Food Science) and B.Sc.(PCM) with IDD (DT)+ 5 years experience in relevant field from a recognized University/ College/ Institute with an O.G.P.A. of not less than 6.00 out of 10.00 point scale or 55% in marks system of examination or its equivalent in aggregate as well as in the subject for which admission is sought.

2. Dairy Engineering

B.Tech. (DT), B.Sc. Dairying, B.Sc. Dairying (DT), B.Tech.(Food Science), B.E./B.Tech. (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Agri.Engg.), AMIE from a recognized University/College/Institute with an O.G.P.A. of not less than 6.00 out of 10.00 point scale or 55% in marks system of examination or its equivalent in aggregate as well as in the subject in which admission is sought.

Note: Candidates with B.Sc. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Food Technology). B.Sc. (Food Technology), B.Tech.(Food Science) and B.Sc.(PCM) with iDD (DT) + 5 years experience in relevant field: B.E/B.Sc. Engg./B.Tech. (Mechanical Electrical/Chemical/Agriil.Engg.), AMIE will have to undergo two additional (extra) semesters to meet the requirements of deficiency cources.

3. M.Sc. Dairying (Dairy Microbiology)

B.Tech.(DT)/B.Sc.(DT)/B.Sc. Dairying/B.Sc. Dairying(DT/DH)/B.Tech.(Food Science/Food Technology)/B.Sc. Microbiology Hons./B.Sc. Microbiology/ B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree under 10+2+4 system (minimum) from a recognized University and good Academic Record with 6.00 OGPA out of 10 point scale or 55% Marks in Marks system of examination or equivalent grade.

4. M.Sc. Dairying (Dairy Chemistry)

B.Tech.(Dairy Technology)/B.Sc. Dairying (DT/ DH)/B.Sc.(Dairy Technology)/ B.Sc.(Agriculture)/ B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree under 10+2+4 system (minimum) from a recognized University and good Academic Record with 6.00 OGPA out of 10 point scale or 55% Marks in Marks system of examination or equivalent grade.

Student must be below the age of 30 years on 31st December, 2008. The maximum age limit will not be applicable to the In-service Candidate(s).

Eligibility

For Sl. No. 1 to 6

XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English. Those who have not offered Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective University.

For B.Tech.(Agriculture Engineering)

XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

For B.Sc. (Hons.)(Home Science)

XII Std. passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination in Arts / Science / Commerce with English. (Admission is open for Male Female candidates)

For B.B.M. (Agriculture)

XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English. Candidates who have not offered Biology or Mathematics, shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

Application forms and prospectus shall be made available w.e.f. 20th May, 2008 on www.mkcl.ws/agri or at any of the 485 Authorised Training Centres (ATC) of Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd. listed therein.

The candidates seeking admissions for any of the above courses for the year 2008-09 may obtain the prospectus and follow the instructions listed below.

(i) Submit the application form with attested copies of relevant documents at ATC of MKCL along with required fees.

(ii) Other State candidates shall submit Online application form at www.mkcl.ws/agri and submit its downloaded copy along with attested copies of relevant documents duly accompanied with required fees in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of `MKCL, Pune` payable at Pune, which shall be sent to "MKCL, Post Box No. 3, Pune-411 016.

Wards of displaced citizens and Wards of Officers/ Staff of Military and Para-military Forces of All India services posted to combat terrorists activities in Jammu and Kashmir State should submit their applications online and a downloaded copy of the same with attested xerox copies of the certificates to the Chief Secretary, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu on or before 10th July, 2008. Government of Jammu and Kashmir will arrange to verify the Migration Displacement Certificate of the candidates and only valid applications will be forwarded by the State Government of Jammu and Kashmir to the `MKCL, Post Box No. 3, Pune-411 016` on or before 2nd August, 2008.
