CUSAT CAT 2017 Application Process

The online registration for Cochin University of Science and technology (CUSAT) Common Admission test has started and all those who are interested in applying for the same are required to fill in the application form at the official website www.cusat.ac.in. The exam is conducted every year for admission in the UG, PG and PhD programmes of the university in various streams of academic and professional education.
The scores of CUSAT CAT can be used for admissions into the following programmes:

BTech: Those applying for this programme must have passed class 12 or its equivalent from a recognised educational board. Those having a valid GATE score card are eligible for 5 per cent relaxation in the qualifying examination

Important dates :

The last date of online registration is February 28.

The last date of online registration for all courses with a fine of Rs 100 is March 6.

Exam will be held on April 29 and 30.

IIIT Delhi B.Tech in IT 2009 Admissions Opens

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology,Delhi(IIITD) invited applications from the eligible candidates for admission into B.Tech in IT program 2009.

Eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance test:

A candidate who has secured 80 percent or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class XII from CBSE board or equivalent is eligible for appearing in the entrance test. (Those who have appeared in a Board whose results are not out by the last date of filling the form can apply if their AIEEE rank is less than or equal to 10000, provided they show their mark sheet of Class XII at the time of admission and must have obtained 80% in PCM). A candidate should also be less then 25 years of age on or before the first October 2009.

NOTE: No candidate without proof of 80% in PCM will be entertained for admission even if he/she qualifies the admission test

How to Apply:
Candidates seeking admission to IIIT-D will have to appear in the entrance test. Admission decision will be solely based on the merit in the entrance test, and all the seats will be filled through this test (that is, there is no “management quota”). The eligibility criterion on who can appear in the test is given below. Only students who satisfy the eligibility criteria are allowed to take the test and will be required to bring a attested copy of their marksheet at the entrance test.

Relaxation in eligibility conditions Marks for Reserved Categories:

Candidate belonging to the following categories, who apply for seats reserved for them, shall be allowed a concession in the minimum eligibility requirement as detailed below:
• Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). A relaxation of 10 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements for the seats reserved for them.
• Children or Widows of Defence Personnel Killed/Disabled in Action (CW). A relaxation of 5 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
• Physically Handicapped (PH). A relaxation of 5 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

Final selection will be based exclusively on the merit list in the entrance test. However candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned above (for candidates who do not satisfy the eligibility criteria the results of entrance test will not be declared and their test copies of entrance test may not be evaluated).
The number of seats for the program starting in 2009 is 60, of which 85% are reserved for Delhi students (i.e. those students who have passed their class XII exam from a School/College/Institute located in Delhi), and 15% for outside Delhi students.

Application Procedure:

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the entrance test, can apply online (this is the only way to apply). They will have to print out their form, paste a recent passport size photograph, and send it with a draft for Rs 500 payable to “IIIT Delhi” as examination fee to at the following address (through speed post only). As the application form requires the bank draft no, a candidate must have the draft ready before filling the application form online.

Applications are invited for the unified single window admission for first year B. E. / B. Tech. Degree Courses 2009 to the University Departments of Anna universities, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges and for the seats surrendered by the Self – Financing Engineering Colleges.

Candidates can obtain the application form in person from the centres detailed below by paying Rs.500/-(Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) towards registration fee, by cash/demand draft.
2. By Post
Application forms can also be obtained by post from The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 by sending a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs.700/- (Rs.450/- in case of SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application is to be mailed.
3. Through Website
The candidates can also register through internet by logging on to www.annauniv.edu/tnea2009. After entering the required information in the application form, press the submit button, then take a printout, affix a
photograph and affix the signature at the appropriate spaces provided. The printout application along with the registration fee in the form of a D.D. only should be sent along with all the enclosures by Speed / Registered post to the address given below.
4. Special Reservations
Candidates seeking admission under Special reservation category should enclose a separate special reservation application along with the main application together with a DD for Rs.100/- for each special reservation with attested xerox copies of relevant documents. The applications under Sports Quota should be submitted
along with all the documents only in person.
5. Submission of filled-in applications Candidates have to send the filled-in application along with attested xerox copies of Mark Sheet(s) and
attested xerox copies of all other relevant certificates, to The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2009, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 on or before 31.05.2009 (5.30 p.m.)
All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Director, Admissions, Anna University Chennai” payable at Chennai, drawn on any Nationalised Bank dated on or after 05.05.2009. Candidates are instructed to write the name and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.

RPET- 2009 Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test
Application are invited from candidates of Rajasthan domicile including the wards of Kashmiri Migrants for the registration of Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test RPET- 2009 for admission to first year of undergraduate programmes leading to Bachelor’s degree in different disciplines of Engineering (B Tech / BE) in various Govt. aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed & Private Universities) for the session 2009-2010.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION:

1. The minimum academic qualification for admission to B Tech / BE program in Rajasthan is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.
2. Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B Tech / BE course shall be as under:

Compulsory Subjects for RPET- 2009- Physics & Mathematics
Any one of the optional subjects: (1) Chemistry (2) Bio-technology (3) Computer Science (4) Biology

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) in 2009 may also apply.

AGE LIMIT for RPET- 2009:
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1984 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1979 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education marksheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

EXAMINATION SCHEME for RPET- 2009:
RPET-2009 shall consist of single examination of three hours duration containing 40 objective type questions in each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. The total no. of questions will be 120 carrying one mark each. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. The questions in the test booklet will be both in Hindi as well as in English.

RPET-2009 will be conducted on 18th JUNE, 2009 (Thursday) from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon at the centers in the following cities : Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Churu, Hindaun City, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Kota, Pilani, Sikar, Sirohi, Sri Ganganagar, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk and Udaipur.

The main brochure and the information brochure for the B.Tech. programme–2009, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self–addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of Rs.750/– from the various post offices as mentioned in the VIT website: www.vit.ac.in

Candidates can obtain the application form in person from the VIT University at Vellore or from the Administrative Office, New No. 6, (Old No. W–73), Second Street (Opposite Towers Club), Anna Nagar, Chennai – 600 040 (Phone: 044–42016555, 65480555, Fax: 044–26222555), by handing over a Demand Draft for Rs.750/– drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore.

AIEEE 2009 on 26th April, 2009

The eighth All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admissions in B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch./B. Planning in various national level institutes like NITs, IITs, Deemed Universities and government funded institutions and States like Haryana and Uttaranchal will be held on 26Th April, 2009 all over India and abroad. This examination will be held in two parts viz B.E./B.Tech from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and for B.Arch./B. Planning from 1400 hrs to 1700 hrs. The number of attempts, which a candidate can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination, shall be limited to 03 (three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years. Hence, the candidates passed +2 Exam in 2007,2008 or appearing in +2 in 2009 are only eligible to appear in AIEEE-2009. Candidates passed +2 in 2006 or before or appearing in 2010 are not eligible to appear in AIEEE 2009.

Date of Birth :

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01,1984 are eligible. However in case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physically Challenged candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by five years meaning thereby candidates born on or after October 01,1979 are eligible.

Cost of Examination Bulletin inclusive of Examination fee for B.E./B.Tech only or for B.Arch. /B. Planning only ;

Rs. 450/- for General & OBC Category and Rs. 225/- for SC/ST category for either B.E./B.Tech or B. Arch/B. Planning only that includes examination and counselling fees. Candidates opting for B.E./B. Tech. and B.Arch./B. Planning (Both) will have to pay additional fee of Rs. 300/- for General/OBC Category and Rs 150/- for SC/ST category by means of Demand Draft as per instructions given in Clause – 8.3 of the Information Bulletin. Candidates opting Examination Centre in Foreign Country will have to pay additional fee as mentioned in Information Bulletin.


Reservation for OBC & SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates will be applicable as per the Government of India/States concerned existing rules or as amended from time to time.

Sale of Information Bulletin/Application Form-:

The Information Bulletin containing the Application Form and other details will be available for sale from 05/12/2008 from designated branches of Syndicate Bank /Other Banks/NITs/Deemed Universities/Institutions and the Regional Offices of CBSE listed in this notice. In addition to the cost of Information Bulletin, the designated branches of Syndicate Bank or designated institutions would charge Rs. 5/- extra as service/Processing charges. The Information Bulletin containing Application Form can also be obtained by post by sending a MICR bank Draft of Rs. 500/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 275/- for SC/ST Category (Which includes Rs. 50/- towards postal charges) along with a self-addressed envelope of the size of 12” x10” without postage stamps) from the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS-1-2, Institutional Area, I.P. Extension, Patparganj, Delhi-110092. The payment is to be made through Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, CBSE, Payable at Delhi/New Delhi. The candidate should write his/her Name and Address on the back of the Demand Draft/Pay Order. However, the Board will not be responsible if the forms are not available at any of the designated branches of Syndicate Bank/Other Banks/Institutions specified in the Information Bulletin. If a candidate fails to enclose a self-addressed envelop of the size of 12”x10’, the CBSE shall not be held responsible for non-dispatch of Information Bulletin/Application Form. Request for supply of Application Form by post, if required will not be entertained after 15/12/2008. The last date for receipt of complete applications in CBSE will be 10/01/2009. The applications would be received in the Board’s office only by Registered/Speed Post and not in person or through any private courier. Evaluation and Declaration of AIEEE 2009 Results
On the basis of performance in AIEEE, separate rank lists will be prepared for B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch/B.Planning. Score Card indicating All India Rank with total marks and marks in each subject shall be sent to all candidates appearing in AIEEE.

Candidates scoring above a certain cut off percentage of marks (being different for General and SC/ST/PH category candidates) to be called for counselling shall be determined at the time of declaration of AIEEE results. All India Rank and marks shall also be released on AIEEE website.The results of AIEEE 2008 were declared on or before 7Th June, 2008. AIEEE Results 2008
