The super specialized university established by the Government of Gujarat is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following courses commencing from August 2011.

Institute of Behavioural Science
1. M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved.

Two years full time (four semesters)
Eligibility : M.A / M.Sc in Psychology / MPsy in Clinical Psychology full time degree from a recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate, preferably with special paper in Clinical Psychology / Applied Psychology, for SC / ST/OBC category, minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential.

Form fees : 1000/-

2. Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology one year full time (two semesters)

Eligibility : M.A / M.Sc in Psychology / MPsy in Clinical Psychology, full time course from a recognized university with at least 50% mark.

Form fee : 500/-

GFSU Forensic Science Course 2011

Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU), Gandhinagar admission to Masters and Doctoral Programs in Forensic Science and Forensic Pharmacy for the academic year 2011-12. GFSU is a super specialized university for forensic science related courses and research. Following are details of courses and application procedure:

1. M.Sc. Forensic Science: Specialisations available in the areas of Forensic Biotechnology / Forensic Chemistry and Toxicology / Forensic Physical Sciences/ Questioned Document and Fingerprints / Forensic Information Technology. Eligibility: Applicants should have Bachelors degree in any discipline of Science / Medicine/ Engineering/ Pharmacy with minimum 55 percent marks. Application cost is Rs. 500.

2. Certificate Diploma in Cyber Security (Online Course)
Eligibility: Bachelors Degree with at least 50 percent marks with basic computer knowledge. Cost of application is Rs. 1000

3. Masters in Forensic Pharmacy: 2 year course;
Eligibility: Candidates should have B.Pharm with minimum 55 percent marks. GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates will be preferred.

4. Masters in Forensic Nano Technology: 2 years
Eligibility: Applicants should have Bachelors degree in Science / Medicine/ Engineering/ Pharmacy with at least 55 percent marks. Cost of application is Rs. 1000.

5. Ph.D. Programs: Specialisation / Disciplines of Forensic Science/ Behavioural Science / Criminology and other allied areas. Form fees is Rs. 500.

GFSU PGD in Forensic Psychology Admissions 2010

Gujarat Forensic Sciences University-GFSU Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology

Eligibility - MA / M.Sc in Psychology (regular course) from recognized university with at least 50 percent marks.

Selection - Admissions will be based purely on the merits obtained in the entrance test. In the entrance examination on July 3, 2010, candidates will be asked 50 multiple choice objective questions to be answered in one hour. The question paper will have questions from general psychology, clinical psychology, social psychology and abnormal psychology.

Focus - This course has been developed and designed to enhance the knowledge and professional skills of students to work with persons displaying antisocial and criminal behaviour. The programme addresses both assessment and management issues.
