Alliance Française network - with the support of the French Embassy, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Region Pays de la Loire - has designed a e-learning website for beginners (level A1).

Just like a regular class at Alliance Française, ClickOnFrench.com offers 25 step by step lessons of French including oral comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and culture, based on the communicative approach.

A personal tutor can answer your queries via e-mail, correct your evaluation tests, monitor your progress, and guide you through the course. To emphasize on spoken French, mainly through role games based on day to day situations, a student can interact directly with his tutor by telephone (10 calls of 20 minutes each).

IGNOU & University Stendhal French Courses

IGNOU, French Embassy and University Stendhal, Grenoble III, France have signed an MoU to start Teaching of French as a Methodology Course in the B.Ed. Programme of IGNOU.

The main objective of this MoU is to design and develop the following academic programmes for the development of human resources: Teaching of French as a Methodology Course in the B.Ed. programme of IGNOU; Certificat d’Enseignement de Français Langue Etrangère [CEFLE] and Diplôme d’Enseignement de Français Langue Etrangère [DEFLE].

French Embassy will fund the Orientation Programme for the course writers for developing the Self-Learning Materials.

IGNOU would conduct expert committee meetings for the French methodology course in the B.Ed. Programme, CEFLE and DEFLE Programmes in collaboration with the French Embassy.

IGNOU will have complete copyright over all pedagogical study material produced for B.Ed programme, CEFLE and DEFLE programmes (Print, Audio, Audio Visual etc.) for use in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.

The programmes aim to to enhance knowledge and skill among the students in the field of French language, literature and culture studies.
