Indira Gandhi National Open University’s (IGNOU’s) Centre for Paramedical Sciences invites applications for its six months online Certificate in Dispensing Optics programme.

The main objective of this programme is to develop critically needed manpower in the area of primary eye care/Opticial/ Paramedical and to improve the quality of life of visually disabled people who does not have access to basic vision testing and visual aids.

This programme aims to educate opticians and impart the specific skills in delivering quality and consistent eye care to people; enhance existing skill set of eye care professionals as well as optician through certification and upgradation and to create a sustainable resource to provide basic eye care and combat the prevalence of preventable blindness.
