Master of Engineering (M.E.) - Mech. - CAD/CAM
Eligibility : B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Mechatronics/equivalent with minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination from the Institutions approved by AICTE. The GATE rank holders also need to qualify themselves in the Entrance Test.

Master of Engineering (M.E.) - Tool Design
Eligibility : B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering of its equivalent with minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination from the Institutions approved by AICTE. The GATE rank holders also need to qualify themselves in the Entrance Test.

Duration : 24 months (4 semesters) for both the courses.

Age : No age limit. However, candidates below 45 years of age are preferred.

Admission : Admission is purely based on rank obtained in the Entrance Test to be conducted by University College of Engineering, Osmania University. Entrance Test is compulsory and common for all categories of candidates including sponsored, non-sponsored.

How to Apply :

Prescribed application forms with full details can be obtained from Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad-37, by sending a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.300/-(Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates and fully exempted for PWD category candidates) drawn in favor of Principal Director, Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad- 500 037 on any Nationalised Bank payable at Hyderabad. The SC/ST candidates need to enclose a copy of the Caste certificate attested by a Gazetted Officer. Envelope containing the request for application form and other details should be superscribed with “request for application for M.E.(Mechanical- CAD/CAM) / M.E. (Tool Design) course. A self addressed envelope (size 26 cm x 13 cm) duly fixed with Rs.15/- stamp also should be sent. Application forms can also be downloaded from the institute website.

A crossed Demand Draft for Rs.300/-(Rs.100/- for SC/ST candidates and fully exempted for PWD category candidates) drawn in favor of Principal Director, Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad-500037 on any Nationalised Bank payable at Hyderabad should be enclosed along with the downloaded application form.

Candidates seeking admission under non-sponsored, sponsored category have to indicate order of preference in the application form. However the Entrance Test for all the categories will be common.

Karnataka pg-cet M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. 2008

Applications are invited from eligible Karnataka and Non-Karnataka candidates for admission to Full Time and Part Time, M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. Courses offered by University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bangalore (Bangalore University), University BDT College of Engineering, Davangere (Kuvempu University), Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Mathematics and Computer Science (Kuvempu University), and Department of studies in Computer Science (University of Mysore) and PG Depts, Regional Centres & Extension Centres of VTU & institutions affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University for the year 2008-2009.


How to Apply :The application is made available ONLY on websites www.vtu.ac.in& http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in along with all related information. Candidates have to apply as below :

• download the Application Form
• completely fill in the same
• send the above with all required documents (all attested photocopies of documents and not to send original documents)

A D.D. of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- in case of Karnataka SC/ST & Cat- I on production of documentary proof) drawn in favour of Member Secretary CPAC, payable at Belgaum should be sent along with the Application Form, and all necessary enclosures.

Admission Procedure : 1) For NON-GATE candidates only: Written test will be conducted on 22-06-2008(Sunday) from i) 11.00 am. To 1.00 p.m. for VTU, UBDTCE and UVCE M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. courses and ii) 2.00 pm. To 4.00 pm., for PG Department of Kuvempu University and University of Mysore M.E./ M.Tech. courses, at various centers specified in the brochure.

2) GATE candidates with valid GATE score are given preference for admission. They have to apply by downloading the application form along with prescribed fee; however they are exempted from appearing for the written test.
