Karnataka SSLC Results Dates

The results for Karnataka state SSLC board exams equivalent to Class 10, conducted by Karnataka Board of Secondary Education (KSEEB) are expected to be declared tentatively by May 10 or May 12

Candidates expecting results can check their marks and result status by submitting roll at the official website i.e http://karresults.nic.in/

The Karnataka State Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC), board annual examinations for the academic year 2013-14 was conducted from 28th March to 09th April 2014.

Around 8.26 lakh students had appeared for the SSLC examination, out of which 7.63 lakh are fresh candidates, 21,670 are private students and 41,269 students are repeaters.

KMAT 2013 Application Process


KMAT 2013 Application Process

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT 2013)for MBA and MCA on July 07.

KMAT 2013 is conducted for admission in to Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) programs offered by AICTE approved university affiliated Self Financing colleges and Private management colleges in Karnataka.

KMAT Exam Pattern:
KMAT 2013 is based on objective type of questions. The exam contains different papers for MBA and MBA & MCA combined of time duration 3 hours.


Exam centers in Bagalkote, Bangalore(4 Centers) , Belgaum, Davangere, Gulbarga, Hubli, Mangalore (2 centres), Mysore, Shimoga and Udupi.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with 50% of marks from any recognized university.

KEA CET 2013 Application Process


KEA CET 2013 Application Process

Karnataka Examinations Authority-KEA, Bangalore conducts Common Entrance Test (CET-2013) on May 01, 02 and 03, 2013 for admission to first year undergraduate courses like Medicine and Homeopathy, Engineering/ Technology courses for the academic year 2013-14.

KEA CET 2013 is conducted for admission to the undergraduate courses in Engineering, Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy, Yoga and Architecture.

How to fill application form:

The KCET 2013 Application Form should be filled legibly with BLUE or BLACK Ball Point Pen only. Candidates have to fill and shade the application form as per the instructions given in the application brochure.

The data filled by the candidate once in KCET 2013 Application Form will be final.

The candidate should carefully completely fill the form so as to avoid rejection.

The candidates should not leave any space blank. They should write NA for the conditions that don’t apply to them.

The photographs pasted on the KCET 2013 Application Form, only one is to be attested by the Principal, the other one is for scanning and should not be tampered with.

Candidates should carefully affix their Complete sign on the KCET 2013 Application Form at the specified spaces along with the dates and also put their left hand thumb Impression in blue ink on the form.

After completely filling the Application Form, the candidates have to submit the forms.

The candidates who obtained the form from the School or the institute they study in will have to submit their forms to the Principal till the second week of April 2013. Such Candidates cam obtain their admit cards after the third week of April 2013 from the same institutes.

The candidates who have obtained their KCET 2013 Application Form via speed post will have to submit their completely filled forms via Speed Post directly to KEA till the second week of April 2013. Such candidates will get their Admit Cards via Speed Post only.

KEA Karnataka PGCET 2012

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) PGCET 2012 for admission to MBA/MCA/M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch/MBA (Infrastructure Management) admissions 2012

Applications are invited from the eligible interested Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates for admission to 1st year / 1st semester full time / part time MBA / M.E. / M.Tech. / M. Arch / MBA (Infrastructure Management) courses and full time MCA course in the institutions affiliated to Universities which will be notified by the Government of Karnataka for the year 2012-13. Candidates have to appear for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test - 2012 conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority to become eligible for admission to these courses. However, the non-Karnataka students are eligible to select only the seats surrendered by the management, if any.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) , Bangalore, invites applications for through “Common Entrance Test-2012″ for admissions to first year Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology / Architecture courses for the seats to be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2012-13.

Admissions to professional courses in Karnataka for the year 2012-13

Eligibility

(a) For Medical / Dental courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ ST) of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% ((40% for SC/ ST) ) of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test.

(b) For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC /12th std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st of December 2012.

(c) For Engineering /Technology courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test.

(d) For Architecture course, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination (45% of marks in case SC/ ST and Other Backward Classes and person with disability of mental retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia), and should compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and get a minimum of 40% in it.

Candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, for PCB subjects in case of admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of admission to Engineering / Technology courses. For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture and they must compulsorily obtain CET-2012 brochure and submit the filled application form.

Brochure cum application form will be supplied through the schools / colleges located within the State of Karnataka where the students are studying 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination upon submission of Demand Draft for Rs. 650/- to the Principals in advance, drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and Rs. 500/- for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-1. Last date for submission of Demand Draft to the Principal of Schools and Colleges within Karnataka will be 09-03-2012. Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates i.e., who fulfills the eligibility conditions) who are studying or who have studied 12th standard or equivalent examination outside the State of Karnataka, within the territory of India, can procure the brochure cum application form by “SPEED POST”, by sending a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 25 cm x 30 cm along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and a Karnataka candidate residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a demand draft for Rs. 5,000/-. The cover in which the demand draft and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly super scribed with the words “REQUEST FOR CET-2012 BROCHURE” and should be sent to the office address of Executive Director by “Speed Post” ONLY.

SSLC 2009 Results on May 2, 2009 Karnataka

The results of the SSLC examination 2009 Karnataka will be declared on May 2, 2009. The decision was taken by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB). As many as 40,000 teachers were part of the evaluation process. Nearly 8.58 lakh students had taken the examination this year. With the CET scheduled for May 6 and 7, the Pre-University Board will declare the II PUC results in the second week of May.

Bangalore University Results Announced

Bangalore University has announced V Semester BA, BBM and VII Semester BHM examination results held in November/December 2008. Principals of the colleges affiliated to the university have been asked to collect the results from the office of registrar (evaluation), natural science block, Bangalore University, and notify the same in the college on February 20/2009

The last date for colleges to submt revaluation applications, if any, to the university in triplicate is March 1 without penalty and March 6 with penalty.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test-2009

Architecture courses for the seats to be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2009-10.

A candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, for PCB subjects in case of admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of admission to Engineering / Technology courses. For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture. The merit will be determined in accordance with the provision of the “Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006”.

Academic Eligibility:
(a) For Medical / Dental courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2 PUC / 12 std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group both in Qualifying Examination and Common Entrance Test.

For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/ 12 std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in PCB group in the qualifying examination.

For admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31 of December 2009

In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

(d) For Architecture course, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2 PUC / 12 Std. or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination (45% of marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B)] and should compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and get a minimum of 40% in it. (Including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
1. A candidate who had obtained a seat in any discipline through the KEA (CET Cell) in any of the previous years will not be eligible to appear for the Common Entrance Test-2009 for selection of a seat in the same discipline.
Such candidate will immediately forfeit the seat selected by him during the previous years, upon selection of a seat in a different discipline during the year.

2. The merit list of candidates for admission to Medical and Dental courses will be determined only on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in PCB subjects, taken together, in the Common Entrance Test. For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology courses, the merit list will be
determined on the basis of marks obtained in the respective optional subjects, in both qualifying examination and the Common Entrance Test taken in equal proportions. For Architecture course, the Merit list will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in both qualifying examination and NATA taken in equal proportions.

SUPPLY OF BROCHURE CUM APPLICATION FORM:
Brochure cum application form will be supplied through the schools / colleges located within the State of Karnataka in which the students are studying 2 PUC or 12 standard examination upon submission of Demand Draft for Rs. 550/- to the Principals in advance, drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and Rs. 400/- for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-1. The repeater and ex-students who have passed the qualifying examination within the State of Karnataka before 2009 should also submit the demand draft for the above said amount to the respective schools / colleges. The Last date for submission of Demand Draft to the Principal of Schools and Colleges within Karnataka will be 10-02-2009.

The Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (i.e., Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates) who are studying or who have studied 12 standard or equivalent examination outside the State of Karnataka, within the territory of India, can procure the brochure cum application form by “SPEED POST”, by sending a self-addressed
cloth-lined envelope of size 25 cm X 30 cm along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 650/- drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and a Karnataka candidate residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a demand draft for Rs. 3000/-.

The contents on the self-addressed envelope should be in English or Kannada language only. The cover in which the demand draft and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly superscribed with the words “REQUEST FOR CET-2009 BROCHURE” and should be sent to the following address of Executive Director by “Speed Post” ONLY.

The KEA will not take responsibility for the envelopes sent through courier or given in person or through any other private arrangement and also for incomplete and insufficient address on the envelope.

Karnataka pg-cet M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. 2008

Applications are invited from eligible Karnataka and Non-Karnataka candidates for admission to Full Time and Part Time, M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. Courses offered by University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bangalore (Bangalore University), University BDT College of Engineering, Davangere (Kuvempu University), Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Mathematics and Computer Science (Kuvempu University), and Department of studies in Computer Science (University of Mysore) and PG Depts, Regional Centres & Extension Centres of VTU & institutions affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University for the year 2008-2009.


How to Apply :The application is made available ONLY on websites www.vtu.ac.in& http://pgcet.vtu.ac.in along with all related information. Candidates have to apply as below :

• download the Application Form
• completely fill in the same
• send the above with all required documents (all attested photocopies of documents and not to send original documents)

A D.D. of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- in case of Karnataka SC/ST & Cat- I on production of documentary proof) drawn in favour of Member Secretary CPAC, payable at Belgaum should be sent along with the Application Form, and all necessary enclosures.

Admission Procedure : 1) For NON-GATE candidates only: Written test will be conducted on 22-06-2008(Sunday) from i) 11.00 am. To 1.00 p.m. for VTU, UBDTCE and UVCE M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. courses and ii) 2.00 pm. To 4.00 pm., for PG Department of Kuvempu University and University of Mysore M.E./ M.Tech. courses, at various centers specified in the brochure.

2) GATE candidates with valid GATE score are given preference for admission. They have to apply by downloading the application form along with prescribed fee; however they are exempted from appearing for the written test.

Karnataka PGCET MBA / MCA

Admission to MBA and MCA Courses in Karnataka for the year 2008-2009

Pursuant to the issue of Government Notification No. ED 27 TEC 2008 for Admission to MBA/MCA for the year 2008, the Karnataka PGCET - 2008 is being conducted under the supervision of Central Post Graduate Admission Committee (CPAC) for the purpose of determining the merit of both Karnataka and Non-Karnataka Candidates for admission to the First year, First semester of full time (2 years) and part time (3 years) Master of Business Administration (MBA) and full time (3 years) Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses, in University Departments and institutions affiliated to the following Universities- Bangalore, Gulbarga, Karnatak, Kuvempu, Mangalore, Mysore, Tumkur, Karnataka State Women`s University and Visvesvaraya Technological University, within the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2008-2009.

However, the Non-Karnataka candidates appearing for PGCET - 2008 are eligible for those seats available against the management quota of private professional institutions, in such cases where the institutions have surrendered their quota of seats to CPAC.

Eligibility:

Admission to MBA & MCA courses shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC / ST and Category I, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examinations shall not be less than 45%. Provided that for admission to MCA the candidate shall have passed Bachelor degree with not less than 50% of marks with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives at Degree Level.

Provided further that in respect of candidates who have studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first proviso in the Pre-University Course with 50 % of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission. However in the case of candidates belonging to SC / ST and Cat-1, 45 % of marks in that subject shall be considered for Admission.

The candidates applying for part-time course in MBA must have worked for not less than three years in an establishment and must be working in an 6rganization within a radial distance of 40 KMS from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.

1) The written test will be conducted for MBA course between 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM and for MCA course between 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM on 15-06-2008 (Sunday) at various centers as specified in Brochure supplied with the application.

2) For both Karnataka & Non-Karnataka Students admission will be based solely on performance in written test (PGCET), then followed by counseling for seat selection as per merit.

How to Apply :

The application can be obtained on payment of Rs. 600/- (Rs 300/-in case of Karnataka SC/ ST and Cat-I, on production of documentary proof) in the form of DD only, drawn in favour of the Member Secretary, CPAC payable at Belgaum.
