CBSE CTET 2014 Application Process

CBSE Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on 16.02.2014 (Sunday).

CTET 2014 is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE every year.This is an all India level exam conducted to the candidates aspire to be a teacher in 1st to 8th class.

CBSE CTET is applicable to schools of central government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT's of chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Island and NCT of Delhi.
May be also applicable to the unaided private schools who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government.

Eligibility :
Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

Paper-II 09:30 to 12:00 hrs
Paper-I 14:00 to 16:30 hrs

Online Application has to be submitted by accessing the following CTET website www.ctet.nic.in. The candidate should supply all the details while filling up the ‘On-line’ Application. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page after successful submission of data, which has to be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit, after affixing a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided, and also with the original CBSE copy of Challan( if fees paid through Challan).

The fee can be remitted in the following ways:
Through Challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or e-Post Office in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.

By Debit/Credit Card.

University of Calcutta, invites application for admission to Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in education course commencing in the session 2013.

Eligibility : Candidates should have a Master's degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university.

The eligible candidates will have to appear in a written examination of 2 (two) hours duration to be held in this Department on 24.12.2012 at 1.00 pm. The list of successful candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the Department on 11.01.2013.They will have to appear at an interview, the date of which will be notified on the Departmental notice board . Those candidates who have already passed U.G.C. /CSIR(JRF) examinations/ NET/SET/SLET/ M.Phil/ Teacher Fellow in Education need not appear at the written examination and can directly apply to appear at the interview.

The application form can be obtained from the Office of the Calcutta university by Rs 100/- in cash.

The filled up forms along with the requisite fee by C.U. Challan are to be submitted between 12.00 and 2.30 pm on all working days at the office of the Department of Education (3rd floor ), Alipur Campus, C.U.

Last date for the submission of application form is Dec 12, 2012.

Written test will be held on Dec 24, 2012.

Applications in the prescribed proforma are invited from candidates belonging to the states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and the Union Territories of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nager Haveli for admission to the 4-year (integrated) B.A. B.Ed. course.

1. Name of the Course and Duration: B.A. B.Ed.; 4 years (8 semesters)

2. Eligibility Conditions:

i) Candidates must have passed higher secondary/sr. secondary or equivalent examination in the year 2009 with at least 45% marks in aggregate (a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates).

ii) Candidates must have passed in the following subjects:

(a) Any one of the languages: Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi and Gujarati;

(b) History or Geography; and

(c) Economics or Political Science.

3. Tuition Fee and Scholarship: Selected candidates will be required to pay Rs. 3000/- per annum (SC/ST candidates exempted).

All SC/ST students and few general category students will be given scholarship as per NCERT norms (Rs. 800/- per month at full rate).

4. Reservation: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC and 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates.

5. How to Apply: The applications in the form given below (to be enlarged, if required) or downloaded from the website www.riebhopal.ac.in are to be submitted in room no. 30 of the Institute by the candidate him/herself on July 28, 09 from 9 am to 12 noon along with IPO/Bank Draft for Rs. 50/- (Rs. 5/- in case of SC/ST) in favour of Principal RIE, Bhopal, payable at Bhopal,. No applications would be received after the prescribed time limit. The merit list/waiting list of the candidates would be displayed on the notice board on the evening of 28th July, 09 and candidates would be required to deposit the fees in cash [about Rs. 8000/-, for general/OBC category candidates and Rs. 1400/- for SC/ST candidates] on 29th July, 09.

A xeroxed copy of each of the following documents would be required to be deposited along with the application and a passport size photograph:-

i) Marksheet of higher secondary/senior secondary or equivalent examination,

ii) School leaving certificate,

iii) Parents’ income certificate (2008-09),

iv) Caste certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates and non-creamy layer category certificate from OBC candidates, and

v) High school certificate as proof of date of birth.

6. The state of the candidate would be decided according to the following criteria and in this order:-

i) State from which sr. secondary examination etc. have been passed.

ii) State in which, guardian/parent is employed in Central Govt./Govt. of India undertakings.

iii) Domicile certificate from the competent authority.
