JETS 2013 for admission to Ph.D / Integrated Ph.D Programme in Physics or Theoretical Computer Science

Eligibility :
Physics:
Candidates should have M.Sc. in Physics or M.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech. in related disciplines.

Theoretical Computer Science:
Candidates should have M.Sc./ M.E. / M.Tech. / M.C.A. in Computer Science and related disciplines, and should be interested in the mathematical aspects of computer science.

To Apply :

* Applications for the JEST exam can be made online or by ordinary post.

* To apply by post, please write to JEST 2013, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics.

* To apply online, applicants must create an account using a valid e-mail ID. This account will remain valid from the time of account creation till one month after the date of declaration of results, for that year. Email ids are locked to the created account and to the application, and will be used for all communications with the applicants. Therefore, the email id should be active and must not be changed during this period.

Tentative date of examination is 17th February 2013.

* An Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST) is required

For Ph.D Programmes in Physics / Theoretical Computer Science

applications are invited from motivated students, with consistently good academic records, for enrolment in a Ph.D programme (also Integrated Ph.D Programme) in Physics (including various interdisciplinary research areas) / Theoretical computer Science at any of the participating institutions. The participating Institutions are ARIES Nainital, BARC, Mumbai, CBS, Mumbai, HBNI Mumbai, HRI Allahabad, IGCAR Kalpakkam, IIA Bangalore, IISc Bangalore, IISER Mohali, IISER Pune, IMSc Chennai IOP Bhubaneswar, IPR Gandhinagar, IUCAA Pune, JNCASR Bangalore, NCRA Pune NISER Bhubaneswar, PRL Ahmedabad, RRCAT Indore, RRI Bangalore SINP Kolkata SNBNCBS Kolkata, UGC-DAE-CSR Indore and VECC Kolkata.

Candidates are requested to apply ON-LINE (strictly recommended) for JEST-2010 by visiting the web site http://jest2010.aries.res.in. Important Dates

Websites opening and on-line submission of applications will be available at http://jest2010.aries.res.in from November 16, 2009.

Request for printed application forms should reach to The Chairman, Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES), Manora Peak Nainital - 263129, Uttarakhand by December 14, 2009.

Last date for receipt of the filled applications, and ON-LINE submission of applications, is December 31, 2009.

The JEST - 2010 examination will be held on February 21, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
