Applications are invited from CAT 2008 candidates for admission to MBM Course (2009-2011). It is a University Masters Degree with State Subsidised Course fee and good placement facilities. Only Honours Candidates and/or Graduates with equivalent* degree need apply.
2.Admission Notice for CAT 2008 CANDIDATES in MHRM course
Applications are invited from CAT 2008 candidates for admission to MHRM Course (2009-2011). It is a Self Financed Masters Degree Programme of the Post Graduate Department of Business Management, Calcutta University with good placement facilities. Only Honours Candidates and/or Graduates with equivalent* degree need apply.
For both the courses:

(ii) Admission form may directly be downloaded from the above websites or may be obtained (at Rs. 1000/-) from:
(a) the Calcutta University Sales Counter, Asutosh Building, College Street, Calcutta - 700 073
(11 AM to 3 PM) from 1.9.2008 to 12.12.2008 &
(b) the office of the Department of Business Management, Calcutta University, Alipore Campus, 1 Reformatory Street, Kolkata 700027 (11 AM to 3 PM) from 1.9.2008 to 12.12.2008
(iii) Downloaded application forms are to be submitted to the Office of the Department of Business Management, 1, Reformatory St, Kolkata - 700 027
(Ph: 033-2449-9418) enclosing a Bank Draft for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of - -Pro-Vice Chancellor (B.A. & F), Calcutta University.
(iv) Applications (duly filled in) to be received from 15.9.2008 to 12.12.2008 (12 noon - 3 PM) at the Department office (Alipore Campus, 6th floor).
(v) There are reserved seats for SC/ST candidates as per University Rules.
(vi) Candidate must enclose with the application form a copy of mark sheet of the last examination passed & CAT Registration Number. SC/ST candidates must enclose their caste certificate. Incomplete application is liable to be rejected. Students have to appear a GD & PI in the month of March 2009 (date to be announced later). No correspondence would be made in this regard. (Provisional) Selection list may be seen in the website and on the Notice Board of the Department. No personal communication will be made with the selected candidates.

Indian Institute of Social Welfare And Business Management (IISWBM) MBA MHRM admissions opens
The Indian Institute of Social Welfare And Business Management (IISWBM) invites applications for admission to the two-year MBA (Session 2009-2011) and two-year MHRM (Session 2009-2011) degree courses of Calcutta University.
Eligibility
* Honours degree in any discipline
* Graduate in any professional course (Engineering, etc), LLB (5 years) of a recognised University.
* Those who will be appearing at such examinations within June 2009 may also apply.
Selection
Through the Common Admission Test (CAT) of the IIMs. IISWBM uses CAT for shortlisting the candidates for both courses. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme. To appear in CAT minimum 50 per cent marks is required and for SC/ST etc 45 per cent marks in Bachelor's Degree (Details available in CAT notification).
For admission to IISWBM, one has to apply to CAT and also apply separately to IISWBM for which Brochure and Application Forms are to be obtained from IISWBM. The last date of issue of CAT Bulletins is 08.08.2008 and from IIMs 13.08.2008.
On the basis of CAT score, IISWBM will call selected candidates, who have applied to IISWBM, for Group Discussion and Interview at the Institute.
Application Form and Brochure
Available from the Reception Counter of IISWBM on cash payment of Rs 1,000/- or against Bank Draft of Rs 1,075/- payable on any Bank at Kolkata in favour of the institute.
Last date of issue and receipt of completed application form is December 5, 2008
Classes Commence in July 2009.
