National Institute of Design NID 2018

National Institute of Design NID 2018 Application Form has been released from 25th September 2017. National Institute of Design (NID) is the reputed institution of Design that offers UG and PG design courses in its campuses. Admission into these courses is done through NID Entrance Exam called as Design Aptitude Test (DAT) followed by Studio Test and Personal Interview conducted and organized by NID itself.

The four-years long B.Des programme is offered at Ahmedabad campus, two and a half years M.Des programme is offered at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Gandhinagar campuses and GDPD is offered at NID Vijayawada and NID Kurukshetra. Here, candidates can check complete details about NID Entrance Exam 2018 including application form, exam dates, exam pattern, syllabus, preparation tips, etc.

CEED 2015 Results Declared


CEED 2015 Results Declared

The CEED 2015 (Common Entrance Exam of Designing) results have been declared. In order to check the results, the candidates should log in to the official website, the link for which is here: http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/ceed2015/result_steps.pdf

Steps to check result:
The candidates should log in to the official website;
Click on 'CEED 2015 Results' link
Login with the registered email ID and password;
The results will be displayed on the screen.

CEED results will be displayed on the website, www.gate.iitb.ac.in/ceed2015. Information provided in the application form by the CEED qualified candidates will be shared with the participating departments and may also be used for statistical analysis. The CEED score card is valid for a period of two years from the date of declaration of the results. It cannot be treated as a proof of date of birth, category or disability status.

[Note: Authority to declare the results is vested solely with GATE-JAM-CEED Office, IIT Bombay. If any claim or dispute regarding CEED 2015 arises, the Courts and Tribunals in Mumbai and Mumbai alone shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to entertain and settle such dispute or claim.]

Score card

After the declaration of the results, CEED score cards will be available for downloading to all the qualified candidates after 22nd January 2015. Hard copy of the CEED score cards will NOT be available and hence will not be sent to the qualified candidates.

CEED 2015 Application Process

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India has announced the exam dates for Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED-2015)

The CEED will be held on Sunday, December 07, 2014.

CEED is conducted for taking admission to Master of Design (M.Des.) program offered at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad & IIT Kanpur and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program in Design offered at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur for the academic session 2015.

Eligibility : Candidates must either have completed or be expecting to complete any of the following, by July 2015:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design or equivalent (4 years programmes after 10+2)

Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of 4 years duration after 10+2)

B.F.A. (4 year professional programme, after 10+2)

G.D. Art (5 year programme after 10th) with one year post qualification, professional experience

Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications (2 year programme after 10+2+3)

NOTE

Candidates with 3 years Bachelors degree are not eligible

The candidate is responsible for showing eligibility while seeking admission to the specific programme in which they are interested

There is no age limit and a candidate can appear for CEED any number of times

To Apply : CEED Application Form must be submitted online, through the website The non-refundable application fee is Rs. 2000/- for men of General and OBC category, and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST category, physically disabled (PD), and all women candidates

Women (All Categories) Rs. 1000/-

Candidates who claim to be in SC/ST/OBC category have to produce valid certificates issued by appropriate authorities

Fees can be paid via: State Bank of India Collect Facility via Internet Banking/Credit Cards/Debit cards

Instructions for Filling the ONLINE Application Form:

The applicant has to upload their photograph, signature and other documents

Paper copies of the form or any other documents must NOT be submitted CEED 2015 Online Application Interface requires that copies of your photograph and signature be uploaded as electronic files

Please upload good quality photographs

Poor quality of photographs submitted will lead to rejection of your CEED application, without any refund of the application fees

The CEED Score Card will include the photograph you submit and also a photograph that will be taken at the time of the exam

Scanned copy of your PwD certificate (pdf file) issued by an appropriate authority for PwD category (Appendix D)

Scanned copy of your eligibility certificate (pdf file); degree certificate if the course is completed or the certificate from the Principal of your college (Appendix E) if the course is not completed

Admit Cards

Admit cards will be available for downloading from the CEED website from 07th Nov 2014 to 06th Dec 2014

Please take a clear printout (in color) of the admit card before coming to the examination centre

National Institute of Design GDPD/PGDPD Admissions 2013

National Institute of Design (NID), invites applications for 4-year Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) and 21/2-year Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (PGDPD) at Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Bengaluru Campuses for 2013-14 session.

National Institute of Design offers professional education programmes at Undergraduate and Post Graduate level with five faculty streams and 18 diverse design domains.

CEED 2013 IITs Common Entrance Examination for Design

Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is an all India examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.

The objective of CEED is to assess the candidate’s aptitude for design, involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, and communication skills.

For General Category: Forms can be downloaded from NID’s website www.nid.edu/downloads and sent along with a DD of Rs 1500/- drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of ‘National Institute of Design’ payable at Ahmedabad. Forms can also be obtained from select branches of Bank of India on payment of Rs.1,500/- towards the cost of the form plus Rs.50/- as bank charges.

For Reserved Category: Forms at concessional rates to reserved categories are available only from Admissions Office, NID, Ahmedabad. These forms can be obtained from Admissions Office directly by sending a Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of ‘National Institute of Design’ payable at Ahmedabad for Rs.750/-. The applicant should also send in an attested copy of the relevant certificate from competent authority and a self addressed envelope of 9” x 12” size with Rs.40/- stamps affixed. The envelope should be marked with ‘NID ADMISSIONS 2011’.

Reserved category candidates must attach relevant certificate of Caste/Category otherwise the application form will not be provided/ will be rejected. OBC candidates are required to submit non-creamy layer certificate from the Collectorate. PH candidates are required to submit certificate from the Chief Medical Officer.

The incomplete application forms / not satisfying eligibility criteria / incorrect forms/ forms without required fees will be rejected. The application form fee (Rs.1,500/ Rs.750) for rejected applications will not be refunded. No official communication will be made regarding rejected application forms. International Design Courses Now in India

Now Get a BA degree in design from a leading UK University (University of Hertfordshire). Partners for this program, EDIT Institute & IDI

EDIT are now offering design courses in India. Students can now get the benefit of an international design education without having to go abroad and incur heavy fee and staying costs.

The degree programs by University of Hertfordshire (UK) help in gaining an internationally recognized qualification in Art and Design.

The two degree programs that are offered are B.A (Hons.) Graphic Design and illustration and B.A (Hons.) Interior and Spatial Design.The eligibility for these programmes are : 1) Passing an aptitude test. 2) XIIth pass + Foundation program. The Foundation programme is conducted in Mumbai.

This is followed by the first 2 years in India, and the 3rd year of the program will be conducted in UK at the university. Students get 2 years UK work permit.
