IGNOU- IL&FS Global Education and Skills Programme
IGNOU-IL&FS Education, it has introduced two trainer's training programmes that will qualify an individual to work in government and non – government sectors.
The scope of trainers and master trainers in the present day education scenario varies and the requirement for multi-disciplinary skills in a short duration of time is the need of the hour. To meet these qualifications, IL&FS Education has inked a pact with IGNOU and will be partnering with them to bring a special education and skills programme that trains an individual in different aspects of the job. This is aimed at narrowing down the huge talent deficit in the education sector.
A unique certification courses that has a national requirement of more than one lakh professional trainers. These courses will cater to the requirement in sectors like MNREGS, National e-Governance Programmes, NGOs and Mega Corporate and in the Government training institutions covering State Institutes of Planning, State Rural Training Institutes, DRDAs, Panchyati raj training, KVKs, Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) and corporates.

GlobalScholar EducationWorld Young Achievers Award 2009
GlobalScholar (USA), which manages one of the world's largest online learning portals (www.globalscholar.com) and EducationWorld, India's sole education news and analysis magazine, invite nominations for the GlobalScholar-EducationWorld Young Achievers Award 2009. The awards aim to acknowledge and inspire young achievers (between 12- 25 years of age) across India in four fields of endeavour - Science, Maths and Technology: Arts and Music: Social Work and Sports. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.Globalscholar.com/yaa or www.educationworldonline.net and duly completed forms must be submitted before December 12, 2009.
Following the scrutiny of applications/nominations by IL&FS Education and Technology Services Ltd — India's largest school curriculum and content development company — eight young achievers from across the country will be shortlisted for the final round of interviews. A hand-picked Global Scholar-EducationWorld jury will assess the all round development and personalities of shortlisted finalists. From among the finalists one Young Achiever in each category will be adjudged the GlobalScholar-EducationWorld Young Achievers 2009 at a unique celebratory convocation in Mumbai. All travel expenses of shortlisted finalists will be borne by sponsors.
Last year the four winners were awarded cash prizes, Compaq laptop computers, and specially commissioned silver and acrylic trophies. Moreover, the first four runners up received cash prizes as well. The winners this year will also receive cash prizes and exciting gifts, along with their trophies
