Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB) announces admissions to MBA - Energy & Environment Admissions 2009
The Programme: The MBA - Energy & Environment (MBA – E & E) is a two year full
time residential programme.
The programme is designed for: Young graduates looking for exciting opportunities in
emerging sectors.
Eligibility Criteria: Bachelors degree in Engineering / Science / Bio Technology /
Environment Science / Architecture from any statutory University with at least 50% (for
SC / ST categories 45 %) marks at graduate level.
Non Engineers with work experience of more than one year in Energy / Environment
Sector will also be considered eligible.
Students who are in the final year of their Bachelors’ degree education in any of the
above disciplines may also apply. Admission of such candidates will be provisional & will be cancelled in case of non-fulfillment of the stated criteria.
Candidates passing degree examination by part time / correspondence are not eligible.
Time Plan: The program consists of four semesters of approximately four months
each.

Symbiosis Institute of International Business [SIIB], a premier management Institute of Symbiosis International University [SIU] offers this unique MBA- Energy & Environment – a two year full time residential program which concentrates exclusively on the Energy & Environment sector, in the global context and addresses the current needs of the industry. Energy is at the core of all economic activity; indeed, the pace of development of any country is determined by this crucial sector. To ensure sustainable development it is imperative to understand the related Environment issues such as climate change, loss of bio-diversity ozone layer depletion etc. These are global issues and have been a key feature in all recent global debates. As an Institute of International Business, SIIB believes that strengthening and building capacity in this emerging sector is critical and has taken this initiative to create young professionals who can be assets to organizations in this crucial sector - a sector whose importance will only grow, and grow at an amazing pace, in the years to come.
This MBA – Energy & Environment program will focus attention on both Energy &
Environment and equip aspiring global managers with managerial, economic, legal and
relevant technical competence. They will serve as experts who provide the link between the worlds of technology and business The programme provides a judicious blend of theory and practice and thus prepares the applicant to meet contemporary global requirements.
Selection Procedure:
Selection will be based on Personal Interview and essay writing.
How to Apply:
1) Register online at www.siib.ac.in. Registration starts on 11 May 2009. Last date for submission of application form is 10th June 2009.
2) Take a print out of filled Application Form, affix photograph and forward it to SIIB Office along with DD of Rs. 1200/- towards registration fees (non refundable) drawn in favor of “Director, Symbiosis Institute of International Business” payable at Pune.
3) Last date for receipt / submission of Application Form & Registration Fees at SIIB
Office is 10th June 2009, 5:00 p.m.
4) The MBA – E & E (2009-2011) E-Brochure and Application Form will be available on
SIIB website www.siib.ac.in w.e.f. 11 May 2009
Important:
a) Registration process is complete only after receipt of Application Form & registration
fees (by DD or Cash) at SIIB Office by due date & time.
b) Attested photocopies of supporting documents (if applicable) are required to be
submitted along with the Application Form. Please note that false claims will result in
automatic disqualification.
c) Candidates are required to bring following documents (original + one set of attested
photocopies) at the time of personal interview for verification.
i) Graduation Degree Certificate.
ii) Graduation Mark sheets of all years.
iii) Work experience certificate (if applicable).
d) The result of the selection process will be intimated to the students by e-mail.
