Eligibility : A candidate seeking registration in the Research Degree Programmes (MPhil/PhD) must hold a Master’s Degree in the relevant Discipline/Areas or other equivalent qualification.

The candidate should have secured at least 55% marks in the Master’s Degree (50% for Reserved Category).

Entrance Examination conducted on all-India basis at examination centers located in various regions. Candidates with only Post-graduate Qualification (with a minimum of 55% marks in the Master’s Degree/50% for Reserved Categories) will have to appear in ENTEX-01. University of Calicut admission to the PhD programme under the streams
(1) Full time and
(2) Part-time under the faculties of Science, Language & Literature, Humanities and Commerce & Management Studies of University.

Eligibility-:
(1) Candidates who have secured 55% marks and above in their P.G. degree
examination (of this University or equivalent degree of any other Indian or Foreign Universities recognized by University of Calicut) shall be eligible to apply for the entrance examination for registration to PhD in the subject concerned

(2) Candidates belonging to the SC/ST Communities need only a pass in their
qualifying examinations.

(3) The teachers of the affiliated Colleges of this University and University Teaching Departments will be given a relaxation of 5% marks.

Candidates exempted from Entrance Examination
(1) Regular teachers working in the Government/Aided Colleges affiliated to
Universities in Kerala seeking Part-time registration.

(2) Candidates who possess M.Phil degree of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent to this University.

(3) Candidates who have qualified NET/JRF/SRF of UGC/CSIR.Candidates seeking Part-time registration should confirm their eligibility for it from the University Web-site. Actual distribution of seats to different categories, such as Full-time & Part-time will be based on the decision of the Research Council of the University. Those who secure 50% marks and above in the entrance examination are eligible for admission. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, however, need only 35%.

MDI GURGAON Fellow Program / Executive Fellow Program in Management (July 2010)

FPM / EFPM, a Doctoral level program, prepares top researchers and academicians for business, industry, government and non-government organisations. EFPM is a non-residential program meant for executives working in India or abroad.

Areas of Specialization : Business Communications, Economics, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations, Public Policy and Governance, Strategy.


FPM / EFPM Eligibility Criteria-:

1. A master’s degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average recognized by AICTE /AIU with bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) (OR)

2. Five year integrated Masters Degree Programme in any discipline with at least 60% marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent (OR)

3. A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 60%marks or equivalent grade point average (OR)

4. 4 years / 8 semester bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech./B. Arch. etc.) with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average. Those appearing for their final examinations in the respective disciplines can also apply.

5. For EFPM, a minimum of 10 years of managerial / executive work experience is required. The minimum age for the EFPM candidate is 35 years as on 1st January 2010.

Selection Process for FPM /EFPM-:

Candidates who have appeared/are appearing for the CAT / GMAT / GRE / GATE / UGC-JRF (two years from the date of the standard test and should be valid on the deadline of submission of the application form) will be shortlisted on the basis of the details in the application form and the scores of aforementioned tests. Only the shortlisted candidates will then be called for interaction with Area faculty followed by Personal interviews on 20 – 30th March 2010 at MDI Campus.

Application Form-:

The Information Brochure and Application Form shall be available on payment of Rs. 750/- in cash at Admission Office, MDI Campus or by sending a demand draft of Rs. 850/- in favor of the Management Development Institute, payable at New Delhi, if by post, from 23rd November 2009.
