All India Pre-Veterinary Test-AIPVT 2014

Veterinary Council of India invites applications for All India Pre-Veterinary Test 2014 (AIPVT), for filling up 15% of total number of seats in Veterinary Colleges in India (except from Jammu & Kashmir State) from Indian Nationals for admission to 1st year of 5yr B.V.Sc. & A.H. course for academic session 2014-2015.

All India Pre-Veterinary Test- AIPVT 2014 will be held on 10-05-2014,


Eligibility

(A) Nationality: Candidates should be Indian Nationals except the State of Jammu & Kashmir.

(B) Essential Qualifications: He/She has passed:-

(i) The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 (years) educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

OR

(ii) The Intermediate Science examination in science from a recognized University/Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which shall include a practical test in these subjects) and English.

Minimum Marks: 50% marks for General Category in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistty Biology and English at 10+2/lntermediate Science Examination. Provided also that to be eligible for All India Pre-Veterinary Test the candidate must have passed the aforesaid subjects individually. For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/the Scheduled Tribes or other special category (Other Backward Classes) of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that prescribed for General Category.

(C ) Age:- He/She has attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, 2014. Candidates attaining seventeen years on 1* of January, 2015 or later will not be eligible to appear at the All India Pre-Veterinary Test.

Application Form for AIPVT 2014:

(A) The Information Bulletin and Application Form can be obtained by post from Controller of Examination, Veterinary Council of India, ‘A’ Wing, 2nd Floor, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-110066, by sending a demand draft for Rs. 1600/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 850/- for SC/ST category (including examination fee, processing and other charges) in favour of “Veterinary Council of India-Examination Fund” payable at New Delhi on any Scheduled Bank. While requesting for Information Bulletin and Application Form by post, the candidates should send:-

(i) Demand Draft for Rs. 1600/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 850/- for SC/ST category.

(ii)Two plain paper slips with name and complete address (in CAPITAL LETTERS) with PIN-code.

(B) The Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be obtained by hand from the office of the following Registrars of State Veterinary Councils on payment of Rs. 1500/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 750/- for SC/ST category through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Veterinary Council of India Examination Fund” payable at New Delhi on any Scheduled Bank:-

All India Pre- Veterinary Test-AIPVT 2012

Veterinary Council of India invites applications for entrance examination for filling up 15% of total number of seats to be filled on Merit in each Government Veterinary College in India (except from Jammu & Kashmir State) from Indian Nationals for admission to 1st year of B.V.Sc. & A.H. course for academic session 2012-2013.

The duration of B.V.Sc.& A.H. degree course is spread over five complete academic years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

Eligibility :
Nationality: He/She is an Indian national. Since the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 have not been extended to the State of Jammu & Kashmir, candidates from that State shall not be eligible to appear in the said examination unless they submit an Affidavit in enclosed Proforma on Non–Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 10/- duly attested by Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that: - They are not eligible to compete for B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats in the State of Jammu & Kashmir and hence, not eligible to seek admission in Veterinary Colleges of Jammu & Kashmir and they are not domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.

Essential Qualification : He/She has passed:-

Minimum marks: To be eligible for AIPVT, candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above. Further, he/she should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 10+2 /Intermediate Science Examination. Provided also that to be eligible for AIPVT the candidate must have passed the aforesaid subjects individually. For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/the Scheduled Tribes or other special category (Other Backward Classes) of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that prescribed for General Category.

Note: - A candidate who is taking the qualifying examination prior to the AIPVT, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take the examination but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required percentage of marks as per the Minimum Standard of Veterinary Education – Degree Course (B.V.Sc.& A.H.) Regulations, 2008 on or before 30th June, 2012 and submit the documentary proof during counseling, if selected.

Age: He/She has attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, 2012. Candidates attaining seventeen years on 1st of January, 2013 or later will not be eligible to appear at the AIPVT.

post on payment of Rs 1250/- for General Category/OBC and Rs.650/- for SC/ST category (including examination fee, processing and other charges) through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Veterinary Council of India- Examination Fund" payable at New Delhi on any Scheduled Bank from the office of Controller of Examination, Veterinary Council of India, ‘A’ Wing, 2nd Floor, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-110 066.

While requesting Information Bulletin and Application Form, the candidates should send:

(i) Demand Draft ONLY (Note: Cash/ Money order/Indian Postal Order/ Cheque or any other form of payment will NOT be accepted. Demand Draft issued prior to the date of advertisement will not be accepted).

(ii) Two plain paper slips with name and complete address (in CAPITAL LETTERS) with PIN-code.

AIEEA-PG-2009 On 16th May 2009

ICAR’s 14th ALL INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMMES (AIEEA-PG-2009) IN AGRICULTURE, VETERINARY AND ALLIED SCIENCES FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2009-10 AND AWARD OF ICAR-JRF(PGS)

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) invites applications, in prescribed form, from Indian Nationals, for its 14th All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA-PG-2009) to 100% seats at ICAR-DUs (IARI, IVRI, CIFE, NDRI) and 25% seats at all the State Agricultural Universities, AAIDU,Allahabad, CAU, Imphal, Central Universities with agricultural faculty namely, BHU, AMU,Visva Bharati and Nagaland University, for Master’s degree programmes in the field of Agriculture,Horticulture, Forestry, Agri. Engineering, Home Science, Social Sciences, Dairy, Fisheries, Veterinary,and Allied Sciences for the Academic Session 2009-10 and award of ICAR’s Junior Research Fellowships (ICAR-JRF(PGS)). Some details are given below (additional details are in the Information Bulletin)

Important Dates:
Date and Venue of Examination: Saturday, the 16th May 2009 (Time: 10:00-12:30 hours) at centers/cities stated in the Information Bulletin.
Receipt of filled-in Application Forms: (non-remote areas): On or before 7th April 2009
Receipt of filled-in Application Forms: (remote areas): On or before 14th April 2009.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age: Not less than 19 years as on 31st August 2009.

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or appearing in final year examination), in the field of Agriculture, Veterinary, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Forestry, Agri. Marketing Banking and Cooperation, Food Science & Technology, Biotechnology, Process & Food Engineering, Computer Science, Basic and allied sciences under 10+2+5 or 10+2+4 (most seats) or 10+2+3 (only few seats) with 60% marks or OGPA 6.60/ 10.00 or 3.25/5.00 or 2.60/4.00 for General, OBC and UPS categories and 55% marks or OGPA 5.50/ 10.00 or 2.75/5.00 or 2.20/4.00 for SC, ST and Physically Handicapped(PH) categories. For admission in the subject of Veterinary Sciences, candidates must have completed B.V.Sc.&A.H. with Internship before the date of registration in the University or August 31, 2009 whichever is earlier. It may be noted that the candidate has to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the admitting University for the admission at the time of counseling. (Candidates appearing in the final year examination of Bachelor degree will have to submit certificates/provisional mark sheets signed by the Registrar of the University of their having completing the degree in all respects on the date of counseling or else they will be summarily disqualified).

Reservation: As per Govt. of India directives. 15% seats in all subjects will be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 3% for Physically Handicapped(PH), and 2% for candidates from Under-Privileged States (UPS). Reservation for OBC in four Central Universities (NDRI, CAU, BHU and Viswa Bharati) will be as per Government of India directives/ University rules.

ICAR-JRF(PGS): Based on the merit in the AIEEA-PG-2009 examination, about 475 ICAR-Junior Research Fellowships for postgraduate studies (ICAR-JRF(PGS)) in 20 major subject groups can be availed for two years in Agricultural Universities (AUs) comprising State Agricultural Universities, AAI-DU, ICAR-DUs, CAU and CUs with agriculture faculty, provided their Bachelor degree is not from the same AU (except NDRI Karnal). The current rates of fellowship are Rs. 12000/- pm for Veterinary Sciences and Rs. 8640/- pm for other disciplines besides contingent grant of Rs. 6000/- per annum in each case. Candidates, currently studying for their Master’s degree in 1st year, can also appear in AIEEA-PG-2009 examination for securing ICAR-JRF(PGS). However, if a ICAR-JRF(PGS) holder seeks fresh admission, entire amount of fellowship received by him shall have to be refunded with interest.
Duration of Course: Two Academic years for 10+2+4 students. Students from Basic sciences with 10+2+3 programme can also apply for some subjects/locations but course duration in such cases is three years.

The A/c payee bank draft should be made in favour of “Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR” payable at “New Delhi” and candidate should write the details of his/ her name and address on the back of the Bank Draft. It may be checked that the Bank Draft contains the name of the issuing bank and branch, signature of the issuing authority, amount in words, date of draft etc. clearly. In no case, ICAR will be held responsible for non-receipt of the application and bank draft or delay in postage. It may be noted that The Syndicate Bank and State Agricultural Universities will not send the Information Bulletin by Post.

All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) 2008

For admission to 1st year B.V.Sc. and A.H. Degree course (15% of total number of seats to be filled on Merit in Veterinary Colleges in India (except Jammu & Kashmir State) for academic session 2008-2009
Eligibility :
Pass in Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Candidates who have passed B.Sc.with Physics, Chemistry and biology (Botony/Zoology)
Submission of application :
The information bulletin and application form can be obtained by post, or by hand from select State Veterinary Councils and branches of Vijaya Bank. Candidates can also apply online
