The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites applications for admission in Master of Business Administration MBA (Banking & Finance) for January 2018 Session .

The MBA (Banking & Finance) Program, specifically designed for Bankers, is offered through countrywide network of Study Centres of IGNOU. Developed collaboratively by School of Management Studies, IGNOU and the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), Mumbai, the Program uses standard IGNOU multi-media design and technology aided delivery systems


Program Duration

Minimum Course Duration: 2.5 years

Maximum Course Duration: 8 years


Eligibility

A candidate should:

Be a graduate of not less than 3 years duration from a recognized University/Institution,

Have passed the CAIIB examinations of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, Mumbai and awarded the requisite qualification/credentials thereof by the Institute

Have been working in the Banking or Financial Services Sector for a period of at least two years

Program Fee

The complete program fee is Rs.31500/- which has to be paid @ Rs.1500/- per course during the semesters. The program fee has to be paid through a Bank DD which has to be drawn in favour of IGNOU, payable at the city where your Regional Centre is situated (both at the time of Admission and Re-registration/Re-admission)

It should be noted that the Examination fee has to be paid extra during the filling up of exam form

There are seven degree/ diploma programmes for which the application is invited viz., Master of Business Administration (MBA), Diploma in Management (DIM), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDIM), Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM), Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM), Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM).

Eligibility :
These programmes have multimedia design and technology aided delivery systems. Candidates with 50 percent marks in graduation for general category and 45% for reserved category are eligible to apply for admission. However, candidates with bachelor’s degree and three years of supervisory/ managerial/ professional experience or professional degree or masters degree in any subject are also eligible to apply.

Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test for admission into management programme conducted by institutions like CAT, MAT and state level tests need not appear in the OPENMAT. The cut off percentage for admission of these candidates will be decided by the university.

Non-graduates (10+2 or equivalent) with six years of managerial/ supervisory/ professional experience are eligible for taking admission into Diploma in Management only after clearing the entrance test.

Admission Process :
Candidates who qualify the entrance test can submit the registration form, available in the student handbook and prospectus along with the hall ticket of the entrance test to the respective regional centers along with the required fee on any day after the receipt of the result card.

Provision for online registration for admission to the successful candidates will be made available on the university website www.ignou.ac.in after the declaration of the entrance test result.

The admission to this programme is on the basis of an Entrance Test to be conducted on Sunday August 22, 2010 at all India level. Duration of the B.Ed programme is 2 years and medium of Instruction is English & Hindi. The eligibility for admission into B.Ed is a Bachelor’s degree or a Higher Degree with fifty five (55%) percent marks. from a recognized University. Serving teachers with two years (2 years) teaching experience in a Government or Government recognized School.Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination (Bachelors/Higher Degree)and the results are awaited can also apply.

There is no age bar for admission to the Programme and filled in form should be submitted at the concerned Regional Centre on or before 15th July, 2010. IGNOU has announced Walk in Admission for Management Programme only. Candidates who qualify entrance test can submit the registration form (Form-2), which is available in the ‘Student Handbook & Prospectus’ along with the hall ticket of the entrance test, to the respective Regional Centres along with the required fee on any day after the receipt of result card, for admission cycle starting from Jan, 2011.

Provision for on line registration for admission to the successful candidates for Management Programme will be made available on the university website (www.ignou.ac.in) after the declaration of the entrance test result.
