IIM Ahmedabad PGPX is a full time residential programme for executives with substantial work experience leading to a One Year Post-Graduate Diploma in Management for Executives.

The design of PGPX is built on the Institute's well established experience of designing and running postgraduate management programmes for exceptionally bright students and a wide range of executive education programmes for practicing managers from many countries. It takes into account the substantial and varied experience the selected executives bring to the classroom.
The objective of the programme is to develop bright, enthusiastic and aspirational executives into management leaders and change agents in the global arena.

The programme has a general management focus, with emphasis on managing across borders and cultures. It has an International Immersion Programme besides teaching content drawn from many countries.

The programme is open to executives of all nationalities

Eligibility : Executives who have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline and have completed 27 years of age at the start of the programme may apply.

Corporate sponsorship is welcome but not essential.

Students are selected through a rigorous admissions process that includes GMAT (www.mba.com), leadership profiling and personal interview.

C) At the time of submission of application, you will be prompted to pay the PGPX Application Fee.
•Rs. 3500/- (Indian Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred only) for those who apply on or before 06:00 pm 28th July 2014.
•Rs. 5000/- (Indian Rupees Five Thousand only) for those apply between 06:00 pm 28th July 2014 and 06:00 pm 11th August 2014.

The Two-Year Post-graduate Programme in Agri-business Management (PGP-ABM) is designed to transform dynamic and determined individuals into excellent managers, to meet the unparalleled demands on their capabilities as posed by the increasingly challenging food, rural and allied sectors

Admission/Selection Process :

The selection for the PGP-ABM is done through a two-stage process. In the first stage, candidates to be called for group discussion and personal interview are short-listed from among those who have applied to IIMA’s post-graduate programme. The actual cut-offs used for short-listing would depend upon the performance of candidates in CAT. While short-listing the candidates for group discussion and personal interview, candidates belonging to categories for which seats are reserved, are treated differently.

In the second stage, candidates to be admitted to the PGP-ABM are selected from among those who have attended the group discussion and personal interviews. In preparing this admission list, inputs such as performance in group discussion and personal interview, the CAT score, suitability for the programme in terms of interest and background (considering that this is a sector-specific programme), academic profile and achievements, extra-curricular activities, and post-degree work experience and its relevance, are taken into consideration.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent to be considered for admission. They must be 27 years or more by the start of the programme (born on or before March 31, 1983).

A high intellectual calibre and an entrepreneurial spirit are imperative. Candidates with a wide range of managerial and cultural exposure are especially welcome. The batch aims to have an exciting mix of international and Indian participants.

IIM-A MBA wants brilliant academic record + CAT Score

If you are willing to pursue your Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) this year, then you need have a brilliant academic record in the secondary and higher secondary examination as well.

What has left aspirants surprised is that the selection process at IIM-A this year is taking into account the candidate's academic record in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations as well.

As a result, although the overall percentile at which IIM-A selects aspirants, has come down to 98 from last year's 98.3 for those who have brilliant academic records, aspirants who scored higher in CAT but did not have excellent scores in their board exams did not get a call from the IIMs.

IIM Ahmedabad PGP-PMP admissions

One-Year Post-Graduate Programme in Public Management and Policy 2009-2010

Eligibility: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline and must have at least seven year’s work experience in supervisory/ managerial/ administrative position. Candidates with legislative experience can also apply provided they are: 27 or more years old and have one or more years of experience as minister at central level or as a member of Parliament or two or more years of experience as minister at state level or as member of state assembly or have served local bodies for five or more years. However, all such applicants must have a bachelor’s degree.

In addition, all applicants must have valid GMAT/GRE score obtained between April 1, 2006, and November 3, 2008, or CAT (Common Admission Test) score from any of last three CATs.

Applicants without GMAT/GRE/ CAT score will necessarily have to take IIMA’s special aptitude test. The test would be held in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, and Kolkata. Based on GMAT/GRE/CAT/Test scores and on overall application rating, shortlisted candidates would be called for an interview in Ahmedabad in the last week of November. Final results would be announced by middle of December.
