UPSC NDA / NA Exam 2015

Union Public Service of Commission (UPSC) is conducting National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination on April 19, 2015. Admissions would be conducted for Army, Navy and Air Force of India . Applications are invited for the same provided a candidate fulfills the Eligibility.


Educational Qualification:
Applicants should have passed 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination organized by a State Education Board or a University.
Applicants against the Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates pursuing the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination are also eligible to apply.

Nationality
A candidate should be:
i) An Indian citizen, or
ii) A subject of Nepal, or
iii) A subject of Bhutan,
iv) Tibetan refugees migrated to India before January1, 1962 and currently permanent residents, are also eligible to apply, or
v) A person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, United Republic of Tanzania etc
The candidates belonging to ii), iii), iv) and v) should produce "Certificate of Eligibility". The eligibility certificate is not required in case of Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Age Limit: Male Unmarried candidates (born in between July 2, 1996 to July 1, 1999) are eligible

Physical Standards: Applicants should be physically fit and meet some of the measures of NDA.
Candidates should not be having certain ailments like Varicocele, Undersized Chest, Gynaecomastia, Tonsillitis, Overweight/Underweight, Hydrocele/Phimosis, Deviated Nasal Septum, Wax (Ears) and Piles. Applicants need to have a good mental health as well.

UPSC NDA & NA (I) 2014 Admission Process

Union Public Service Commission has issued a notification for National Defense Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy examination

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts National Defense Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) (I) Examination once in a year. UPSC has notified NDA & NA 1 examination 2014 for entry into Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 132nd Course, and for the 94th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from January 2015 for filling up 300+ vacancies in Army, Navy and Air Force through UPSC NDA & NA 1.

The exam will be conducted on 20th April 2014 and the session for the students will start from 2nd January 2015.


Eligibility :

Age Limit: Candidates born between 02-07-1995 to 01-01-1998 only are eligible for apply for NDA 1 2014. In other word, A candidate must lie between 16 ½-19 ½ Years of age as on the first day of the month in which course is due to commence.


Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Class 12th with Physics and Mathematics for National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy.


Application Fee: General and other unreserved category candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee in any SBI branch or by using net banking facility of SBI or its subsidiary banks.
SC/ST category candidates and sons of JCO/NCO/OR are exempted from paying fee.


Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will be selected based on their performance in written examination followed by Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test, SSB Interview.

UPSC NDA/NA Examination 2013

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2013 on 14 April 2013 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 131st course and for the 93rd Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing 2 January 2014. Unmarried males interested in joining either of the services can apply online till 21 January 2013.

Eligibility:
A candidate must either be a citizen of India or citizen of Bhutan or Nepal or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the united republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethlopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than Jan 02, 1995 and not later than July 01, 1997 are eligible.

For Army wing of National Defence Academy: candidates should have passed 10+2 pattern of schools education or equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings: candidates should have passed 10+2 pattern of schools education or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics conducted by a state education board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing for 10+2 pattern of schools education or equivalent examination cal also apply.

Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 55

(The number of vacancies is tentative.)

[Candidates joining Naval Academy will undergo 4 years B.Tech. Course and will be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy.]

Indian Navy Technical Cadet Entry B.Tech

Indian Navy invites Applications from UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES (fulfilling the conditions regarding nationality as laid down by the Govt of India) to join the prestigious Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala under 10+2 (Technical) Cadet Entry Scheme

Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for four year B Tech course in Electronics & Communication and Mechanical Engineering at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala Kerala. During the course cadets will be allotted Engineering or Electrical branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU).

Few cadets after first term may be nominated for B Tech in Naval Architecture from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). They will have to appear for Common Admission Test of CUSAT. The successful candidates after first term will undergo four years B. Tech in Naval Architecture and and Ship Building at CUSAT. Thereafter, the cadets will be deputed for a six months course in warship design at Visakhapatnam, followed by 18 months Post Graduate Diploma in Naval Architecture
(DIIT-NC) at IIT Delhi.

The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with free clothing and messing.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Age. 16 % to 19 years (i.e. born between 02 Jan 1991 & 01 Jul 1993. (both dates inclusive).

Educational Qualification. Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Physical Standards

(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight as per age.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour /night blind.

National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2009

Eligibility:
(a) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status: only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1991 and not later than 1st July, 1993 are eligible.
(b) Educational Qualifications: (i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: • 12th Class pass of 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course of Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in 12th Class under 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this Examination.
(c) Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2009 as given in Appendix-V of Commission’s Notice for Examination published in Employment news/Rozgar Samachar dated 18th October, 2008.

Application procedure: The Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices (specified in Appendix-lll of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty only). Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination. In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated HPOs/POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC's "FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL" over Telephone No.011-23389366 , Fax No.011—23387310. FEE : Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee). All applications must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110 069 on or before the stated date.

However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities specified in the Notice the last date for receipt of applications by Post/Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 24th November, 2008.
