National Talent Search Examination 2018

NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is a national-level scholarship program in India. It is considered as the most prestigious and the most difficult examination at high school level in the country.

The objective of NTSE is to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent and help them for higher studies by providing scholarship at different stages.

The NTSE Examination is conducted for students studying in Class 10th only.

NTSE 2017-18 Stage-I Application Form : The application form for NTSE 2017-18 stage-I can be obtained from State/UT Liaison officer. Last date for submitting the application form will be notified by respective State/UT only. Different states may have different last dates for submission.

The completed application form after signed by the Principal of the school will be submitted to the address specified by liaison officer of your State/UT.

NTSE 2017-18 Stage-I Examination Date :

Examination in Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Andaman and Nicobar Island : 4th November 2017 (Saturday)
Examination in All other States/UTs : 5th November 2017 (Sunday)

National Talent Search Examination-NTSE 2012-13

The purpose of the NTSE scheme was to identify talented students and nurture their talent. Talent refers to the potentiality that manifests itself in a high level of performance in one or more specialized areas. The scheme, therefore, covers areas like Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law. It honours and helps talented students by providing financial assistance in the form of a monthly scholarship. For the courses in Basic Sciences, Social Sciences and Commerce, this assistance is provided up to Ph.D. level. For professional courses like Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law this assistance is given only up to Post Graduation.

* NTSE will be conducted for Class X students

* The examination will consist of Mental Ability Test(MAT) and Scholastic Ability Test(SAT)

* Quota for State/UT will be computed proportionally on the basis of students enrolment in Class IX and X

* The amount of scholarship will be Rs. 500/- per month for all the students studying in Class XI onwards(irrespective of class/course) except for Ph.D.,wherein it is paid as per UGC norms.

Regional Institute of Education, Mysore, a constituent unit of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development,Government of India, invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following preservice programmes for the academic year 2012-13

* 4 Year Integrated B.Sc.Ed (Eight Semesters)
Eligibility : A pass in PUC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate with subjects: i) Physics, Chemistry
and Mathematics for PCM Stream, and ii) Physics, Chemistry and Biology OR Chemistry,
Botany & Zoology for CBZ stream.

* 4 Year Integrated B.A.Ed (Eight Semesters)
Eligibility : A pass in PUC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate and with English, Regional Language and any two of the subjects: History, Geography, Economics, Political Science &Sociology

* 6 year Integrated M.Sc.Ed (Twelve Semesters) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
Eligibility : A pass in PUC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate and with subjects Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics.

* One Year M.Ed (Two Semesters)
Eligibility : A pass in B.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. / B.A.Ed. or equivalent degree with 50% marks in aggregate.Candidates with a PG degree will be given appropriate weightage.

* Diploma Course in Guidance and Counseling (DCGC)
Eligibility : One year DCGC is offered through distance mode.

All India Children's Educational Audio Video Festival 2010 - AICEAVF 2010

Central Institute of Educational Technology-CIET A constituent of NCERT invites entries from individuals and organisations producing educational audio and video programmes (produced between January 1st to October 31st 2009) for children's and teachers.

AICEAVF is India’s major Educational programme Festival. AICEAVF-2010 is the 15th Festival. An excellent opportunity for the producers of educational audio-video programmes for children and teachers, AICEAVF is rated as one of the effective educational audio-video festivals of India. Originally started to showcase audio and video programmes produced by the Central Institute of Educational Technology and State Institutes of Educational Technology in India, it had moved far ahead. It invites entries from all those creative producers who contribute significantly to the process of broadening of horizon of children and teachers through their audio and video programmes.

Aims of the AICEAV Festival-:
CIET’s AICEAVF showcases the best in professional media (viz. Audio and Video) for children and teachers by adults as well as children from India. AICEAVF inspires the discussion of media production especially for education of the children which includes new Pedagogy, Indian culture, values etc.

National Talent Search Exam-NTS 2009/2010

National Talent Search Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT.The purpose of the scheme was to identify talented students and nurture their talent. Talent refers to the potentiality that manifests itself in a high level of performance in one or more specialized areas. The scheme, therefore, covers areas like Sciences, Social Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law. It honours and helps talented students by providing financial assistance in the form of a monthly scholarship. For the courses in Basic Sciences, Social Sciences and Commerce, this assistance is provided up to Ph.D. level. For professional courses like Engineering, Medicine, Management and Law this assistance is given only up to Post Graduation. From the selection year 2010, the NCERT will conduct the National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class VIII only.

Scholarships: On the basis of the examination conducted, 1000 scholarships will be awarded for each group of students appearing for Class VIII examinations. The amount of scholarship will be Rs.500/- per month as per NTS rules.

Reservation: 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category, 7.5% scholarships for students belonging to the ST category and 3% for Physically Challenged Group of Students each in respect of the class VIII.

Selection: There will be two-stage selection process for award of scholarship. For Stage-I, selection will be done by States/UTs through a written examination. Students who qualify Stage I will be eligible to appear for Stage II examination conducted by NCERT.

The States/UTs will also conduct the selection test for National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship
Scheme along with the Stage-I written examination for NTS.

Eligibility: Students of Class VIII studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the respective Class VIII Stage I examination conducted by the States/UTs in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction.

Examination: The pattern of written examination for Class VIII will be as follows:

• Stage I examination at the State/UT level will comprise two parts, namely (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT) and (b) Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) covering social sciences, sciences and mathematics.

• Stage II examination at the National level will comprise (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT), (b) Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) covering social sciences, sciences and mathematics, (c) Interview. Only those candidates who qualify the written examination at the National Level will be invited for interview.

State Quotas: Each State/Union Territory has been allotted a quota to recommend a specific number of candidates for the Stage II examination, the details of which will be made available on NCERT website. However, there will be no State/Union Territory Quota for the final award of scholarship after the Stage II examination. Reservation for SC, ST and physically challenged will be as notified in para 2 above.

Application Form: You may contact the State/UT Liaison officer for procuring application form. However, application form can be downloaded from NCERT website also. All correspondence relating to application forms should be addressed to the State Liaison Officers (LOs) whose addresses are given at the end/Website

The completed application form duly signed by Principal of the school should be submitted to the LO/ concerned district official of the State before the last date.

Fees: States and Union Territories may notify the fee required (refer NCERT website) which will be paid for the Stage-I examination. However, NCERT does not charge any fee for the Stage-II examination.

Announcement of Results: Results of the Stage-I examination will be announced by the respective State Governments/ Union Territories. Results of Stage-II examination will be announced by NCERT.

Indian Students Studying Abroad can appear directly for Stage II NTS Examination under conditions prescribed in the NTS brochure for class VIII which is available on the NCERT website. Candidates may fill up relevant items of the Application Form available on the NCERT website and send to the undersigned along with a photocopy of the mark sheet of previous examination latest by March 15, 2010.

RIE B.Ed, M.Ed Admissions 2009 Application Process

Regional Institute Of Education, Bhopal Admissions to B.Sc. B.Ed, B.Ed., M.Ed for year 2009
Applications in prescribed form for admission to the following courses from the candidates belonging to the States of Madhya Pradesh. Chhattisgarh. Maharashtra, Gujarat. Goa and Union Territories of Daman, Diu and dadra & Nagar Haveli.

Course, Duration and Eligibility:

BSc. B.Ed. 04 Years (8 Semesters):
Eligibility:
a) Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (+2) or equivalent examination having passed in 2009 with at least 45% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates),
b) in addition to (a),
(i) For seeking admission in Physical Science Group, the candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics,
(ii) For seeking admission in Biological Science Group, the Candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry & Biology


Two-Year B.Ed. (Secondary) 02 Years
a) At least 45% marks in B.A./B.Sc. (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates), b) The candidate possessing B.Sc. degree must have offered at least two of the following subjects at graduation level: Physics, Chemistry, Botany. Zoology & Mathematics. OR The candidate possessing B A. degree should have offered at least the following subjects at graduation level :
(i) any one literature from Hindi, English. Gujarati. Marathi & Urdu and
(ii) any one from History, Economics. Geography & Political Science. However, candidates who have passed 'Gujarati' language at any stage of graduation are also eligible to apply.

M.Ed. (RIE) 01 Year (2 Semesters)
a) At least 50% marks in post-graduate degree in Science / Humanities / Social Sciences.

b) At least 50% marks in both theory and practical separately in B.Ed., or in the Education part of 4 Year B A.. B.Ed./ B.Sc. B Ed.


TUITION FEE AND SCHOLARSHIP:-
A tuition fee of Rs. 3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) per annum shall be charged from each admitted student (except SC/ST students) payable in two equal installments of Rs. 1500/- each at the time of admission and in the first week of January of the session. The tuition fee excludes hostel fees and other annual charges. The fee is non-refundable and will be charged each year of the course of the study. All admitted SC/ST candidates and a few general category candidates will be given scholarships as per NCERT Rules. (B.Sc. B.Ed, and Two year B.Ed, courses Rs. 800/- per month & M Ed. Rs. 1200/- at full rate)

RESERVATION:-
In each course 15% Seats for SC. 7.5% for ST. OBC (excluding creamy layer) as per NCERT instructions and 3% for Physically Handicapped (with 40% or above disability) candidates are reserved.


HOW TO APPLY:-
The application form can be downloaded from the website www.rlebhopal.ac.in. Filled up form along with a fee of Rs. 50/- (Rs. 5/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Principal, Regional Institute of Education. Bhopal drawn on SBI, RCE Branch, Code No. 2889 Bhopal or IPO payable at Central T.T. Nagar Post Office, Bhopal should bo submitted to Principal, Regional Institute of Education, Shymala Hills, Bhopal -462 013.

Application form can also be Obtained by sending a SELF ADDRESSED 23x10 cm size STAMPED ENVELOPE worth Rs. 25/-along with a fee of Rs 50/- (Rs 5/- in case of SC/ST candidate) in the form of IPO/Demand Draft as mentioned earlier. The candidate must write, "Admission for 2009-2010" at the left hand top corner of the envelope. Application form can also be obtained on any working day (Monday to Friday) from the Academic Section of the Institute on production of required IPO/DD. Application complete in all respects should reach on or before 11th June 2009 by 5.00 p.m.

National Talent Search Examination-NTSE 2009 Modification in Scheme

Modification in the Scheme of Testing National Talent Search Examination-2009

Please note that the following changes have been made in the SAT and MAT for NTS Examination from 2009 onwards.
• The SAT and MAT will have 100 items each in place of 90 items given in the NTS Scheme.
• Each question will carry 1 mark. The total marks will be 100 for each test.
• Minimum qualifying marks will be 40% i.e. 40 marks for general category.
• Minimum qualifying marks for reserved categories will be 32% i.e. 32 marks.
• The duration of the tests will remain the same i.e. 90 minutes each.
• For first 90 questions in both SAT and MAT, the candidates have to put a cross mark (X) on the number of the correct alternative on the answer sheet against the corresponding question. For questions 91-100, the answers are to be written in the given space in the answer sheet.
• In SAT the first 90 items are divided into three areas – 35 for Science, 20 for Mathematics and 35 for Social Science. However, no separate sections are given in the test. The last 10 questions are mixed from different subjects.

Diploma in Guidance and Counselling by NCERT

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in association with Commonwealth of Learning, Canada offers International Diploma in Guidance and Counselling - a one year Diploma Course for training of professionals in guidance and counselling, combining distance/online and face-to-face modes.

The course is open to teachers, teacher educators, educational administrators and untrained guidance personnel from India, Other SAARC, and Afro-Asian countries.

Admission to eligible candidates will be offered at six centres on regional basis at NCERT Headquarers (DEPFE) New Delhi and Regional Institutes of Education at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Mysore and Shillong.

NCERT National Talent Search Examination 2008

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) invites applications for National Talent Search Examination.

For the selection year 2009, the NCERT will conduct the National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class VIII only.

Eligibility
