Scholarships for Class XI & XII students (Science stream only)

Applications are invited for the award of many scholarships worth Rs. 20000/- to Rs. 25000/- each from bona fide students of government recognised schools/colleges of class XI & XII (Science stream only) . Certificates of appreciation are also awarded to all who score 40% & above in the test with all All India Ranking

The scholarships are awarded based on merit in an online test of two hours. The test comprises of four sections of 50 question (1 mark for each question) in Physics & Chemistry., Maths/Biology, English language and Simple logic & General knowledge. The syllabus is generally based on the content and level of SSC & HSC books prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE and other state boards n India.

Times Scholars is an initiative by the Times of India to recognize and reward the brightest young minds in the country.

The top 20 Times Scholars will get a cash scholarship of Rs. 5,00,000 each. The amount will be transferred to the parent/guardian’s bank account in four annual instalments.

80 students will be given Rs. 5,000 each as a special mention scholarship.

The programme envisages creation of a cadre of the very brightest young minds in India, who will receive financial support, exposure and opportunity to rise to the pinnacle of scholastic achievement. Open to students in Class XII, it will select 20 Times Scholars each year, on the basis of their overall mental development. The process is simple and demands little time commitment, something we felt was key since applicants are in their crucial final year of school.

Eligibility : Students currently studying in Class XII of any school/college in India.

Important Dates :

Submission of Times Scholarship application forms: 21st August, 2012 to 10th September, 2012

Shortlist announced: 15th September, 2012

Aptitude test for shortlisted candidates: 23rd September, 2012

Aptitude test results: 02nd October, 2012

Group discussion/interview-regional level: 09th-11th October, 2012

Final shortlist: 19th October, 2012

Group discussion/interview in Delhi: 02nd-03rd November, 2012

Announcement of Times Scholars: 05th November, 2012

RBEF Scholarships 2011

RBEF scholarships for pursuing higher education at any institution in India or abroad.Scholarships worth Rs.10 Lakh each are being offered by the non-profit Ritanand Baldev education foundation-RBEF

All students appearing for class XII Boards in March 2011 and those in the final year of graduation are eligible to apply.
