A*STAR India Youth Scholarships 2013

Full scholarships for studies in Singapore offered by the Agency of Science,Technology & Research-A*STAR and Singapore Airlines-SIA to outstanding Indian nationals born between 1997 to 1999

The A*STAR India Youth Scholarship is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.

The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Eligibility-:
* Nationals of India
* Born between 1997 and 1999
* Completed Standard 8 in the Year 2013
Possess outstanding academic track record (at least an average of 80% with English as first language in the Standard 7 and 8 school examinations
* Possess a high level of oral and written competency in English

Value of Award/Scholarships-:
* Allowance of S$2,200 (Secondary) / S$2,400 (Pre-University) per annum with hostel accommodation
* Settling-in allowance of S$400 (once only)
* Return economy class air passage
* Waiver of school fees (excluding miscellaneous fees)
* Waiver of GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level examination fees (once only, if applicable)
* Subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover
* There is no bond attached to the scholarship

Applications for the 2014 A*STAR Scholarship will open from 3 June 2013 (7.30am India Time) to 14 July 2013 (7.30pm India Time) to 14 July 2013 (7.30pm India Time).

JCU Singapore Scholarships for Indian Students 2013

The James Cook University, Singapore Campus has been conducting the Scholarship Test in India for the last four years. This year the scholarship tests are going to be conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

Students are offered scholarships ranged up to 50% of Master’s Degree of Course fee around S$16050, approximately 6 lacs for Masters degree in Business/IT/Tourism Subjects and up to 50% of Bachelor’s Degree of Course fee around S$23883, approximately 10 lacs for Bachelor’s degree in Business/IT/Psychology.

Scholarship Test Question Paper is designed by James Cook University Academic staffs in a combination of English and Aptitude component in general. In a brief as below topics will be covered in question paper.

* Antonyms
* Sentence Completion
* Mathematics based questions
* General Knowledge Questions

There are no Negative marks for any wrong answers. Evaluation will be based on work out for right answers in the adjacent side of particular questions.

NUS Computing Camp 2011

NUS Computing Camp 2011

National University of Singapore-NUS School of Computing,NUS extension and Catalyse announce the NUS Computing Camp 2011.

The camp will provide stimulating lineup of seminars and laboratory works,conducted by NUS faculty and experiential learning in a supportive and intellectual environment to its participants.

The programme curriculum includes the history of computing,fundamentals of computational thinking,building their own simple computer and generating stereograms and much more.

Eligibility :
* Students in Class XI or XII.
* To qualify for the camp, students need 90% in Class X. If schools follow grading system we will accept students with A1 in Science, Mathematics and Computing.
* Some exceptionally talented Class X students will also be accepted.

The 5 days camp includes :
* Seminars and laboratory sessions conducted by NUS School of Computing.
* Lessons will be conducted at NUS Main Campus, Singapore.

Global Indian International School Singapore scholarships 2009

The Singapore-based Global Indian International School (GIIS) is offering scholarships to meritorious students from India who wish to pursue Std 11 & 12th studies there.

Global Indian Foundation (GIF), which operates the largest Pan-Asian educational institution chain, announced the GIIS scholarships for 2009 specially designed for India-based students who want to pursue 11th & 12th studies in either International Baccalaureate (IB) or CBSE, a press release said.

GIIS has over 17,000 students enrolled and 1,500 teachers in its 18 schools in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, India and New Zealand
