Admission Notification for Integrated MCA (IMCA) Programme 2011
BIT offers an innovative 5 year (10 Semester) Integrated MCA Programme for all eligible Class XII pass outs aspiring for a career in the global IT Industry. This Programme will be offered at BIT Lalpur (Ranchi city), Kolkata, Noida, Jaipur and Allahabad Centres from the session 2011 - 12
Eligibility :
Maximum age limit 21 years on 1st October, 2011 (26 yeras for SC/ST) a valid overall AIR in AIEEE 2011. Candidates must have minimum 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in Class 10th (average of all subjects) Minimum 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in 12th for computing percentage marks in Class 12th only 4 subjects will be counted as follows : English, Mathematics, Physics and best of one of the following Chemistry / Computer Science / Information Practice / Biology / Biotechnology / Engineering Drawing / Economics. 60%marks in English in Class 12th (50% for SC/ST)

Selection : Provisional selections will be on merit based on overall All India Rank in AIEEE 2011.
To apply : Eligible candidates to fill in the online application form on BIT website and send printout with enclosures and crossed DD for Rs.2,000/- (General) and Rs.1,200/- (SC/ST) candidates (non-refundable) in favour of Birla Institute of Technology, payable at Ranchi to the Dean Admissions at the address below. This form may also be submitted to any of the BIT Campuses (addresses on website) within the date of submission.
Filling of online form closes at 7 pm on 26th June, 2011
The last date for receipt of completed form is 30th June, 2011

AIEEE 2011 Rescheduled Examination on 11th May 2011
The All Indian Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) has announced new dates for the test the All Indian Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) has announced new dates for the test 11 th May 2011
Date of Examination: 11th May 2011
Timings: 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM
The entrance test taken by the largest number of students in the country had to be postponed for some candidates after a paper leak. The examination was delayed by a few hours, eating into the time of another entrance test (AFMC). For students who were to appear for both these tests, AIEEE was postponed to May 8. However, the new date clashed with COMED-K UG entrance test that was scheduled for the same day.
The re-scheduled exam will now be conducted on May 11 instead of May 8 due to other professional examinations on the same date. The exam will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm in 39 cities. It'll be conducted only for those who couldn't appear on May 1

B.Tech in Petroleum Engg.
School of Technology
B.Tech in the following disciplines :
Civil Engg, Electrical Engg., Chemical Engg., Industrial Engg., Mechanical Engg.
Students having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10 + 2 or equivalent must :
Appear for AIEEE 2011, to be conducted by CBSE on 1st May, 2011 and
Apply Separately for the PDPU as and when announced.
Admission as per merit in AIEEE 2011 All India Ranking.
Reservation would be as per the Government Norms. The Reservation Category (SC,ST and Physically Challenged (PC) will be considered as mentioned in AIEEE Admit / Score Card. 50% seats will be reserved for Gujarat State Quota based on AIEEE All India Rank.
Further details will be provided in our advertisement scheduled at the end of March 2011 and also on our website.
