The 2 year MBA in Petroleum and Energy Management offered by RGIPT is designed as a career-oriented programme aimed at the Petroleum & Energy sector. RGIPT an institute under MoPNG, Gol, co promoted by leading Oil PSUs (ONGCL, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL) and OIDB invites applications from engineering graduates and Masters in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and geoscience appearing in CAT/GMAT 2014 and XAT 2014 for admission to its 2 year MBA (Petroleum and Energy Management) academic session 2014 - 16. Candidates appearing in the final year exam may also apply. Company will sponsored candidates meeting above eligibility criteria and having minimum two years uninterrupted work experience are exempt from CAT/GMAT/XAT.

CAT is used only for shortlisting the candidates and IIMs have No role either in selection process or in conduct of the programme.

RGIPT Ph.D Programmes offered in : Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Geoinformatics, and English

Eligibility :

First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)/CGPA or CPI of 6.0 in Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology (M.E./M.Tech.) or equivalent and valid GATE score (GATE exam taken after M.Tech is also acceptable)

First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)/CGPA or CPI of 6.0 in Master’s degree in Science and valid CSIR/UGC/NBHM/DBT/DST Inspire Award or Fellowship

Candidates meeting one of the above requirements will have to qualify in a subject-wise written test and interview. The written test will be on the lines of GATE/NET to test aptitude of a student in his/her respective subject area.

Eligibility :
Admission will be based on IIT JEE–2012 Rank List. The candidate should have a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST/Physical Disability) in class 12th or equivalent.

M.Tech.
The institute invites application for admission in a 2-year M.Tech. programme in Petroleum Engineering for the academic session 2012-13.

Eligibility :
A 4-year B.Tech/B.E. degree in Petroleum, Petro-Chemical, Production, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.

GATE score basis: Shortlisted candidates based on their valid GATE scores will be called for a written test followed by an interview. Final selection list will be made on the scores obtained in the written test and interview aggregately.
Company sponsorship basis: GATE score is not required. These candidates must appear for a written test followed by an interview. Such candidates will not be eligible for M.Tech. fellowship. Candidate should have worked for the sponsoring organization for at least one year.

Reservation would be as per the Government Norms. The Reservation Category (SC,ST and Physically Challenged (PC) will be considered as mentioned in AIEEE Admit / Score Card. 50% seats will be reserved for Gujarat State Quota based on AIEEE All India Rank.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), Ph.D Programme 2009

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU), a research-led university, was established in 2007 by an Act of Gujarat State Legislature. The University is promoted by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) as a unique public-private educational and research initiative. PDPU aims to be a leading global University to develop the knowledge of science, technology, management and environment for the advancement of quality of life of mankind in general, and in relation to the domains of gas and energy in particular. The University has strong support and association with oil & gas and allied energy industry including GSPC Group, Reliance, ONGC, GAIL, HPCL, BPCL, IOCL, Gujarat Gas, Schumberger and Halliburton, to name a few.

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University has at present three Schools and a Centre. School of Petroleum Management offers MBA, PGDPM-X and Ph.D in Petroleum Management, School of Petroleum Technology offers B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D in Petroleum Engineering, School of Solar Energy offers Ph.D in Solar Energy, and Centre for Good Governance & Policy engages in governance and Policy-oriented projects. It primarily aims at preparing and motivating students for careers as academicians, researchers, scholars, entrepreneurs and thinkers. Candidates for the Ph.D degree must demonstrate substantial scholarship, high attainment in a particular field of knowledge, and the ability to carry out independent investigation and present the results in a dissertation.

Selection process for Ph.D students is designed with an aim to have students with a combination of academic excellence, leadership, research potential and individual background and perspective. The Process will evaluate all aspect of what the candidate can add to the future of education and research in areas of sciences, technology, management, humanities, arts and social science.

Selected Candidates as per the Ph.D programme shall be entitled for
• Research & Teaching Assistantship of Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 25,000/- per month.
• Professional Development Assistantship of Rs. 15,000/- & Rs. 20,000/- per annum for
knowledge enrichment
• Professional Development Assistantship upto Rs. 1,00,000/- for presenting research
papers at National/International conferences.

The Ph.D Programme is Fully Residential Programme.
