IGNOU Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Programme (Opennet - I)

The university will be admitting the students for the Post Basic Nursing Programme starting from January 2012 through an Entrance Test - Opennet - I to be held on Sunday the 21st August 2011 all over the country.

Eligibility :
10+2 with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with minimum of two years of experience in the profession (For make nurses or nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM Programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.

10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent with 3 years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with minimum of 5 years experience in the profession (For male nurses or nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM Programme should have the certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6 -9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery)

Selection Criteria
The admission to this programme is on the basis of an Entrance Test to be conducted on Sunday 21st August, 2011 at all India level.

There is no age bar for the admission to this programme

Student Handbook and Prospectus can be obtained from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110 068 and from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU whose addresses are given below by sending a sum of Rs.550/- through a Demand Draft in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi/ city of concerned Regional centre or by paying Rs.500/- in cash at the respective sale counters. Please write your name and address on the back of the DD. Last date for receipt of request for "PROSPECTUS" by post is 30th June, 2011.

Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website. www.ignou.ac.in and sent along with the DD for Rs.550/- in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi. Prospectus will be sent to such applicants after receipt of Rs.550/- as explained above.

Submission of application form The filled application form may pl. be sent by Registered or Speed Post to Registrar SED, Block - 12, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110 068.

Applications are invited for admission to above courses for the academic year 2008-09in the constituent colleges of PIMS.

Admission procedure will be as under...

There will be no written test for the admission.
Candidates has to apply in prescribed form.
The admission will be based on the performance in the qualifying eligibility exam (please refer eligibility criteria given in prospectus), personnel interview and counseling.

All original and two sets of attested photocopies of the documents at Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni Tal:Rahata Dist:Ahmednagar (MS) on the day and date of counseling at their own cost. Separate intimation will not be sent to them.
The information broucher and application form can be obtained from the university office or from any of the following centers on payment of Rs. 300/- across the counter and Rs. 150/- extra if by post.
