JEE Main-2014 Application Process

The Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main-2014 will be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, participating State Government Institutions etc. The admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions under several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions shall include the performance in the JEE Main.

For admission to NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) like IIITs etc. and other participating Institutions, the merit/rank list shall be prepared based on 40% weightage to school Boards marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks shall be considered only after normalization.
The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE Main-2014 application form online.

To Apply : Apply online only through JEE (Main)-2014 website www.jeemain.nic.in. The online application process will start from 15th November 2013 onwards. The last date for application is 26th December 2013. The eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) are different. The candidates are requested to read the information bulletin carefully and themselves ensure their eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main) as well as JEE (Advanced). In order to facilitate the aspiring candidates, the JEE (Main) secretariat has designated Facilitation Centres across the country who will help the candidates in filling online application without any charge. The list of such institutes is available on the JEE (Main) website and in JEE (Main)-2014 information bulletin.

Registrar (Academic), National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Srinivasnagar, Mangalore -575 025, Karnataka State on or before the last date prescribed 03.12.2012 along with the D.D. of Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST- Rs.150/-). drawn in favour of the Director, N.I.T.K., Surathkal payable at State Bank of India, or Canara Bank, NITK, Campus Branch, Surathkal.

Candidates sponsored by the Educational Institutions/Industries must get their applications forwarded through proper channel.

NIMCET 2011 NIT MCA Common Entrance Test

National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are premier technical institutions of national importance and fully funded by Government of India. The NIMCET 2011 is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by the nominated NIT for admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program offered by the NITs located at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirapalli and Warangal. The admission to MCA program offered by these NITs for the year 2011 - 12 will be only based on the rank obtained in NIMCET 2011 entrance examination.
The NIMCET 2011 entrance examination will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at different centres. The test will be held for duration of 2 hours and will consist of objective type questions on Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English.

The processing fee is Rs.1,500/- for Open category/OBC and Rs.750/- for SC/ST category candidates.

Examination test centre - shall be at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Hamirpur, Jaipur Jalandhar, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Patna, Raipur, Rourkela, Silchar, Srinagar, Surat, Surathkal, Tiruchirapalli, Warangal, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.
