Jain University, invites applications for admission to MS Engineering in Aerospace Programme, commencing in the session 2014.

These programmes have been conceived and designed based on the market demands noted from the executives who have been working in organizations for atleast two years after graduation and have plans to continue in the organizations.

MS Engineering programmes from Jain University :

* Aerospace Engineering - Aerodynamics (AD)
* Aerospace Engineering - Aerospace Structures (ST)
* Aerospace Engineering - Avionics (AV)
* Aerospace Engineering - Manufacturing & Maintenance Management (M&M)

Eligibility : Pass in the prescribed qualifying degree examination or equivalent with not less than 50% (for SC/ST 45% marks) in the aggregate. Must be in service for a period of at least two years and shall be sponsored by the respective organization.

IIST Ph.D Admissions 2014

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, invites applications for Ph.D. Programme starting in January 2014, in the areas of Aerospace Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Earth and Space Sciences, Mathematics and Physics.

Eligibility:

* Applicants with Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology :

Applicants with Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology must have secured first class or equivalent in the Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees. They must have pursued their Master’s degree on the basis of qualified GATE score. Candidates with MS in Engineering or equivalent from leading foreign Universities with outstanding academic record (or) MS by Research with outstanding academic record can be considered without GATE. Candidates with Integrated Masters degree (or Dual Degree) in Engg/Tech from IITs and IISc with minimum CGPA 9.0/10 can be considered without GATE.


* Applicants with Master’s Degree in Science :

Applicants must have Master’s Degree in the relevant area with first class or equivalent in their Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees. They must have qualified UGC/CSIR NET -JRF (or) NET-Lectureship (or) GATE qualified in the relevant disciplines.


* Applicants with Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology :

Outstanding candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an excellent academic record and aptitude for research may be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. Programme. Such candidates must have secured CGPA of 9.0/10 or better and a valid GATE score of 675 or better. B. Tech students from IITs with CGPA better than 9.0/10 do not require GATE.


The selected candidates will be offered IIST Fellowship as per admissible rates.

IIST Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme 2012

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Asia’s first Space University was established under the Department of Space in September 2007. IIST envisions the integration of Space Technology and Space Science educational programs with basic and applied research for meeting the national R&D requirements of science and technology in general and of the Indian Space Programme in particular. The institute provides a vibrant research atmosphere and offers doctoral and postdoctoral programmes.

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for admission to the Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) Programme starting in February 2012 in the areas of Avionics, Physics, Chemistry and Earth and Space Sciences.

Eligibility : Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D in the relevant area and first class or equivalent at the Masters level.

Age Limit : Applicant should be below 32 years as on 15th January 2012. Age relaxation applicable as per Govt. Rules. Ph.D Degree award date should be after 15th January 2007.

Nationality : Applicant should be an Indian citizen.

Indian Institute of Space Sciences and Technology(IIST) Asia's first Space University was established under the Department of Space, Govt. of India in September 2007. The Institute provides a vibrant research environment supported by highly qualified faculty members, excellent infrastructure and facilities and also shares the state-of-art facilities of ISRO.

Applications are invited for admission to the Ph.D Programme starting in February 2010 in the areas of Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Chemistry, Earth and Space Sciences, Mathematics and Physics. Details of current research areas are given in the website : www.iist.ac.in

Eligibility : Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in the relevant area with first class or equivalent. However, outstanding candidates with Bachelor's degree in engineering with an excellent academic record and aptitude for research may be considered for direct admission to the Ph.D. Programme.

Research Fellowship and Placement : IIST Ph.D Research Fellowship will be Rs.35,000/- pm (all inclusive) Ph.D Scholars will be required to assist in the academic activities of the department. normally limited to 8 hours per week. No tuition / registration fee will be payable by the Ph.D candidates. However, the candidates will have to pay for the boarding / lodging etc., wherever applicable. the candidates will be required to execute a bond to serve ISRO / IIST for a minimum period of three years on successful completion of Ph.D in a position appropriate for doctoral degree holders.

Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on a written test followed by an interview to be conducted during the 3rd / 4th week of January 2010. in Thiruvananthapuram. Outstation candidates will be paid to and fro sleeper class train fare by shortest route.
