SPA Doctoral Program in Architecture and Planning 2011
School of Planning and Architecture-SPA Bhopal
School of Planning And Architecture Bhopal was established by MHRD, Government of India as premier institute to impart quality education and encourage research in the field of Architecture and Planning. It has now, two Under Graduate, two Post Graduate and Doctoral Program running successfully.
Institute invites application, from eligible candidates to take admission in Doctoral Program, beginning from January 2011.
DOCTORAL PROGRAM IN ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING The doctoral program at the school is conceived to encourage independent and interdisciplinary research that has relevant to the present needs of social, cultural and environmental sustenance. To keep pace with the expanding horizons of knowledge, the program provides a research environment that has strong theoretical foundation and direct application to develop solutions that focus on issues relating to settlements and habitat.
THE PROGRAM IS OFFERED IN FOLLOWING CATEGORIES
1. Regular full-time scholars with fellowship or project support.
2. Govt./Semi Govt. Fellowship/Scholarship awardees.
3. Self –financed (Indian/Foreign/ Study Leave).
Program requires at least one year of residency period at the institute for all candidates.
ELIGIBILITY: Master Degree in Architecture/ Planning or equivalent degree with a good academic record.
FELLOWSHIP FOR DOCTORAL PROGRAM 1. The school has provision for Doctoral fellowship for full-time candidates. 2. To be considered for fellowship a candidate should have, a valid Gate Score or Govt./Non Govt. Fellowship/Scholarship. 3. Candidates not having a valid Gate score or Govt./Non Govt. Fellowship/Scholarship can be considered for award of Fellowship if they have minimum of two year of work experience after acquiring Post Graduate Degree.
TO APPLY:
Application form can be downloaded from institute website.Complete application forms should be accompanied by a DD of `. 1000/- drawn on a nationalized bank in favor of Director SPA, Bhopal, payable at Bhopal. The Scheduled Cast, Scheduled Tribe and Physically handicapped candidates are required to send a DD of `. 500/-
Duly filled Application Form along with attested photocopies of all relevant certificates and documents mentions in instructions must reach AR (Admissions) SPA Bhopal during working hours up to 22Nov. 2010 by 5:00pm. Institute will not be responsible for any postal delay.
Kindly refer instructions for filling application form. The list of eligible candidates called for interview will be available after 25Nov.2010 on the institute website: www.spabhopal.ac.in.
The interview will be conducted in Second week of December 2010. Selected candidates will be required to take admission up to 3 Jan. 2011. In case of any discrepancy the decision of Director SPA, Bhopal will be final.
