Doctoral Program in Architecture and Planning
The doctoral program at the school is conceived to encourage independent and interdisciplinary research that has relevance to the present needs of social, cultural and environmental sustenance. Master in Planning (Urban and Regional Planning)
The school offers a two year Post Graduate Degree Program in Urban and Regional Planning which aims at developing students as planning professionals who would assist communities, organizations and policymakers to respond to the diverse challenges of India's rapid path of urbanization and search for innovative and sustainable solutions for cities and regions.

Eligibility : Minimum 55% of marks in aggregate in B.Arch/B.Plan or B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or M.Sc./M.A in (Geography / Economics / Sociology)

Master in Architecture (Urban Design)
The urban design Program at SPA Bhopal aims to imbibe the knowledge to the students so as to invent newer approach to the issue of urbanity in Indian and Asian cities through process of collaboration and amalgamation between the disciplines of Architecture and Planning, Urban Design program at SPA, Bhopal is a four semester course of two years duration, leading to a degree of Master of Architecture in Urban Design.

Eligibility : B.Arch. with minimum 55% of marks is aggregate.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) , Bangalore, invites applications for through “Common Entrance Test-2012″ for admissions to first year Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology / Architecture courses for the seats to be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2012-13.

Admissions to professional courses in Karnataka for the year 2012-13

Eligibility

(a) For Medical / Dental courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% (40% for SC/ ST) of marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% ((40% for SC/ ST) ) of marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test.

(b) For Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC /12th std. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB group irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st of December 2012.

(c) For Engineering /Technology courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test.

(d) For Architecture course, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination (45% of marks in case SC/ ST and Other Backward Classes and person with disability of mental retardation or mental illness (including dyslexia), and should compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and get a minimum of 40% in it.

Candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, for PCB subjects in case of admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of admission to Engineering / Technology courses. For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture and they must compulsorily obtain CET-2012 brochure and submit the filled application form.

Brochure cum application form will be supplied through the schools / colleges located within the State of Karnataka where the students are studying 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination upon submission of Demand Draft for Rs. 650/- to the Principals in advance, drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and Rs. 500/- for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-1. Last date for submission of Demand Draft to the Principal of Schools and Colleges within Karnataka will be 09-03-2012. Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates i.e., who fulfills the eligibility conditions) who are studying or who have studied 12th standard or equivalent examination outside the State of Karnataka, within the territory of India, can procure the brochure cum application form by “SPEED POST”, by sending a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 25 cm x 30 cm along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and a Karnataka candidate residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a demand draft for Rs. 5,000/-. The cover in which the demand draft and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly super scribed with the words “REQUEST FOR CET-2012 BROCHURE” and should be sent to the office address of Executive Director by “Speed Post” ONLY.

Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering/Technology/ Medical/Dental and Pharmacy in Universities/Colleges in West Bengal and B. Arch Course in Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur and Jadavpur University for the academic session 2010-2011, on the basis of a JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, to be conducted by the "WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD". Detailed information will be available in the Information Brochure which will be served along with Application Form and in the websites: www.wbjeeb.in , www.csc-et.in and www.banglarmukh.com .

Eligibility -: The applicant must be a citizen of India and should have passed the H.S.(10+2) or its equivalent examination. The general candidates must have to secure at least 50.00% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology taken together (40.00% for SC/ST candidates) and at least 30.00% marks in English (for all categories). In addition, candidates must secure at least pass marks in the subjects
individually including vernacular (or any other fifth subject) as mentioned below:
B.E/B.Tech./B.Arch :Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and vernacular or any other fifth subject.

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2010 will be allowed to sit for JEM-2010 provisionally and their admission, if merit listed,
will be subjected to satisfying the minimum requirements of eligibility as specified above.

Age Restriction : Candidates must be 17 (seventeen) years of age or above as on 31.12.2010. There is no upper age limit except for the Marine Engineering course for which the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.07.2010.

Residential Requirements: Candidates desirous of seeking admission to Government Engineering / Technology Colleges, Govt. Medical and Dental Colleges as well as to Private Medical and Dental Colleges, must have been residing in the State of West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2009 or their parents must be permanent resident of West Bengal having their permanent home address in the State of West Bengal.

date as mentioned above will not be entertained and the Board shall not be held responsible in any manner whatsoever for such non-receipt arising out of postal delay. The Application Kit may also be obtained from the Board’s Office only with payment of actual cost of the form plus late fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred) only. The whole amount is to be paid through a Bank Draft to be drawn in favour of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board” payable at Kolkata / Howrah from 01.01.2010 to 07.01.2010. The application form once purchased cannot be
returned or replaced.

Prospectus and Information Bulletin can be obtained from the bankers of the School i.e. UCO Bank Branches from Delhi: IIPA (I.P.Estate, Ring Road), Defence Colony (Near Mool Chand Flyover), Cannaught Place (Near Marina Hotel), Karol Bagh (Arya Samaj Road), Som Vihar (R.K.Puram), Punjabi Bagh (Ring Road), Banglore, Pune, Nagpur, Kolkata and Mumbai against payment of the Application Fee of Rs.750 (Rupees seven hundred fifty only) in cash during banking hours.

Requests for application form by post must be accompanied by a crossed demand draft of Rs.750 (Rupees seven hundred fifty only) on any nationalized bank and drawn in favor of SCHOOL OF PLANING AND ARCHITECTURE payable at NEW DELHI. All such requests are to be addressed to the Registrar of the School. Payment by cheque is not acceptable.
