Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) invites applications for Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PRM) and 2014 Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM).


The Pioneering Institute of Rural management invites application for

1) PG Course : Post Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM 2014)

PRM of IRMA is recognised as equivalent to a Master's degree in Rural Management by the Association of Indian Universities(AIU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education-AICTE

2) Doctoral course : Fellow Programme in Rural management (FPRM 2014)

FPRM of IRMA is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education-AICTE

IRMA will use CAT 2013 scores for admission to 2014-16 Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PRM)and 2014 Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM)

Application forms for IRMA admissions will be available online and in hard copy at IRMA Admissions Office from September 25th, 2013 onwards.

All applicants who apply to IRMA with CAT 2013 score will appear for IRMA admissions test on “Issues of Social Concern” subject to their application forms being complete and accepted by IRMA.

Last date for CAT 2013 registration is September 26th, 2013.

A written test, common for all the above programmes will be conducted on November 11, 2012 – Sunday (09:15-12:15 hr) at 27 centers across India.

PRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, group activity and personal interview.

FPRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, interview and presentation of an essay. Applicants with PGDRM qualification from IRMA and applicants who have valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc) are exempted from writing the written test and will be directly called for interview.

Postgraduate programme in Rural Management by IRMA

A two-year residential postgraduate programme in Rural Management (PRM 2009-11) recognised as equivalent to Master's Degree by AIU and also approved by AICTE.


Eligibility

Graduates in any discipline with 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ PwD) aggregate marks or an equivalent GPA.

Fees and scholarships

Costs for students are kept low through cross subsidisation. Further, several prestigious scholarships are available for deserving students.

Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM 2009)

Details
FPRM is a coursework based doctoral programme with a residency requirement of minimum 3 years, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Governance and Livelihoods
Rural Infrastructure and Services Management and
Public Policy and Non-profit Management.


Eligibility

Postgraduate in any discipline from a recognised Institution with 55 per cent marks and 50 per cent marks at graduation level
PRM from IRMA
Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60 per cent marks and at least one year work experience
Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60 per cent marks are eligible for admission to FPRM ~ SC/ST/OBC/PwD (Persons with disability) candidates are eligible for 5 per cent relaxation in the marks specified above.


Candidates, who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirements before June 08, 2009, may also apply.

Fellowship
Every FPRM participant receives a fellowship of Rs 10,000 per month and a contingency grant of Rs 20,000 per year for a period of 4 years.


Placement
Graduating fellows have joined faculty positions in IIMs, XLRI and TERI University.

Selection procedure

A written test, common for PRM and FPRM will be conducted on November 9, 2008, Sunday (09:15-12:15 hr) at 27 centres across India. PRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, group discussion and interview. FPRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, interview and presentation of research proposal. Candidates with PRM qualification from IRMA applying for FPRM are exempt from the written test.
