NIRDPR PGD Rural Development Management 2018

National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) invites applications for One-year Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM) for 2018 session.

On completion of the Programme, the students will have developed:

* Expertise in planning and management of rural development programmes with focus on participatory development and innovation
* Competence in reorienting the development delivery systems for improved delivery of services
* Sensitivity to the issues of equity and gender
* Appreciation of the rights and entitlements of the rural poor and the socially disadvantaged groups
* Right attitudes and values necessary for rural development professionals
* Positive thinking and leadership qualities.


Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1st January, 2018 may also apply.

Entrance Test: The Entrance Test will be conducted on 19.11.2017 (Sunday) at the following
centres: Bengaluru, Bhopal,Bhubaneswar,Chennai,Dimapur,Guwahati,Hyderabad,Jaipur,Jammu,Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi. Patna,Pune and Thiruvanantapuram.

The Pioneering Institute of Rural management invites application for

1) PG Course : Post Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM 2014)

PRM of IRMA is recognised as equivalent to a Master's degree in Rural Management by the Association of Indian Universities(AIU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education-AICTE

2) Doctoral course : Fellow Programme in Rural management (FPRM 2014)

FPRM of IRMA is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education-AICTE

IRMA will use CAT 2013 scores for admission to 2014-16 Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PRM)and 2014 Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM)

Application forms for IRMA admissions will be available online and in hard copy at IRMA Admissions Office from September 25th, 2013 onwards.

All applicants who apply to IRMA with CAT 2013 score will appear for IRMA admissions test on “Issues of Social Concern” subject to their application forms being complete and accepted by IRMA.

Last date for CAT 2013 registration is September 26th, 2013.

M.A. Programme in Rural Development is designed to include such diverse academic contents as are essential in the making of this discipline in the Indian context. An essential component of this programme is dissertation based on empirical research in rural areas. The programme will be useful to personnel working in various Government Departments/agencies, NGO’s, cooperative banks and other institutes engaged in rural transformation. NIRD announces its sixth fully residential One-year ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM)’ with an aim to create a committed and competent cadre of Rural Development professionals in the country. The programme seeks to impart management techniques that will enhance the understanding of the paradigm and practice of rural development.

Eligibility : Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University.

Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1st August, 2013 may also apply

Selection will be based on All India Entrance Test which will be held on 10-02-2013

To Apply : Prospectus-cum-application form can be downloaded from our website (www.nird.org.in). The filled in application form should be submitted along with the application fee of Rs.500 (Rs.300/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates) through an ‘Account Payee’ Demand Draft drawn in favour of NIRD - PGDRDM, payable at Hyderabad. Applicants with PGDRM qualification from IRMA and applicants who have valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc) are exempted from writing the written test and will be directly called for interview.
