National Bioscience Awards for Career Development 2011
The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) invites nominations of scientists who are engaged in basic and applied research in Biosciences & Biotechnology including Biological, Agricultural, Medical, and Environmental Sciences and have made outstanding contributions in research with potential for application/ product and technology development, for ‘National Bioscience Awards for Career Development for the year 2011’.
The award is to recognize outstanding contributions of young scientists below 45 years of age in basic and applied research and to provide grant for research for their career development.
Nature of the Award:
Upto 10 awards per year will be given. Each award carries a cash prize of `. 1,00,000/- and a trophy alongwith a citation and a project research grant of `.9,00,000/- @ `.3,00,000/- per year for a period of three years for career development.

The nominations (10 copies) neatly typed in double space on plain paper in the prescribed proforma complete with enclosures should reach on or before 30th October, 2011 to Mr. K.M. IIM Bangalore Post Graduate programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) 2012-2014
The PGPPM is a unique opportunity for senior mangers from social,infrastructure,private and public sectors as well as the civil services who aspires to leadership positions.
The Post Graduate programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) aims at strengthening the public policy and managerial skills of future leaders and senior managers from the civil services; and professionals from social, infrastructure and private sectors. This two year programme helps professionals engaged in public policy and management to tackle new challenges in the context of liberalization, globalization and rapid technology change; and continuing burden of poverty, social exclusion and crisis.
The programme includes a (optional for open candidates) seven-week study mission at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs,Syracuse University,USA
Eligibility:
Open candidates should be graduates with minimum of five years of work experience and under 40years as on June 1,2012.
CAT2011 or GMAT/GRE scores obtained between April 1,2010 and January 1, 2012 are required
