Indian Institute of Management Bangalore- IIMB Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management Admissions 2014-2015

The Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) aims at strengthening the public policy and managerial skills of future leaders and senior managers from the civil services; and professionals from social, infrastructure and private sectors. The liberalization has blurred the boundary between the public and private as more sectors like infrastructure, utilities and services have got opened up. PPP (Private -Public- Partnership) is the new name of the game. It's a unique programme where professionals from Government and from the Non-Government sector come together in a classroom.

A one year programme the PGPPM is open to participants from PSUs, NGOs, Consultancy services, International agencies, Social and infrastructure sector and civil services

Eligibility :

Open Candidates: Graduate with ideally minimum 5 years work experience. Selection on basis of CAT/GRE/GMAT for open candidates.

Government Candidates: Should be from All India Services or Civil Services and Engineering Services with minimum 7 years of experience.

IIM Bangalore Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management Admissions 2013

The IIMB PGPPM is a unique opportunity for participants from the private and government sectors who aspire to leadership positions in the area of public policy management. It is ideal for professionals from NGOs, consultancy firms, international agencies, the social and infrastructure sectors, and from the civil services and PSUs.

The programme aims at providing intensive exposure in public policy making and public system management in addition to skills in leadership, decision making and management.

Open candidates (other than government candidates) should be graduates with a minimum of five years of work experience and under 40 years old as on June 1, 2013. A CAT 2012 or GMAT/GRE scores obtained between December 01, 2010 and December 31, 2012 is required. Placement assistance is extended to open candidates.

Candidates from government (belonging to one of All-India Services, Group A Civil Services, or Engineering Services) should have minimum seven years of experience and must apply through DOPT with advance copy to IIMB. Government candidates will undergo a seven week study at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University, USA.

IIM Bangalore Post Graduate programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) 2012-2014

The PGPPM is a unique opportunity for senior mangers from social,infrastructure,private and public sectors as well as the civil services who aspires to leadership positions.

The Post Graduate programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) aims at strengthening the public policy and managerial skills of future leaders and senior managers from the civil services; and professionals from social, infrastructure and private sectors. This two year programme helps professionals engaged in public policy and management to tackle new challenges in the context of liberalization, globalization and rapid technology change; and continuing burden of poverty, social exclusion and crisis.

The programme includes a (optional for open candidates) seven-week study mission at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs,Syracuse University,USA

IIM Bangalore Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy & Management - 2011

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) invites application for two year Post-Graduate Programme in Public Policy And Management (PGPPM) 2011.

PGPPM aims at strengthening the public policy and managerial skills of future leaders from the civil services, and senior managers from the social, infrastructure and private sectors. It is open to candidates from Government, and Non Government and Private Sector.

Eligibility-:
For open candidates
The candidates from other than government sectors should be graduates with minimum 7 years' work experience. They need to take CAT 2010 exam or they should have secured
GMAT/GRE scores between April 1, 2009 and November 01, 2010. Candidates should send their applications along with the application fees,in the prescribed form to:

The application fee (no fee for Department of Personnel and Training sponsored participants) should be sent by a demand draft drawn in favour of "Indian Institute of Management Bangalore" payable at par at Bangalore.

For Open candidates (other than DoPT sponsored) applying with GMAT or GRE scores, the application fee is Rs.1500/- and for those open candidates who take the CAT 2010, the application fee is Rs.500/-.

Admission Procedure-:

Government (DoPT) sponsored candidates:
Group A Officers of All India Services and Central Services with a minimum of 7 years experience and aged not more than 50 years for General Category and 53 years in case of SC/ST/OBC category as on June 1, 2011

Open Candidates:
Open candidates from other than government sectors should be graduates with minimum 7 years' work experience and aged not over 40 years as on June 1, 2011.
Open candidates need to take CAT 2010 exam or should have secured GMAT/GRE scores between April 1, 2009 and November 1, 2010.

Selection of the candidate is based on two stage processes. At the first stage candidates will be called for interviews based on the following criteria:
Academic Background
CAT / GMAT or GRE Scores
Work Experience
Achievements (Academic and career related)

At the next stage, selected candidates will be called for an interview in Delhi or Bangalore.

The admission process is highly personalized as the Committee seeks to learn about each candidate’s goals, interest in getting engaged with public system, present exposure to Indian and Global scenarios, and potential for success in public management.

It is proposed to select about 20 to 25 participants from the Open Candidates for the year 2011-2013 batch.
