National University of Educational Planning and Administration M. Phil/Ph. D admissions 2009
The National University offers M. Phil. and Ph. D. Programmes in educational planning and administration from a broader inter-disciplinary social science perspective. The three programmes leading to M. Phil. and Ph. D. degrees are as under:
i. Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. Programme – 2 years
ii. Full-time Direct Ph. D. Programme – 1 year
iii. Part-time Ph. D. Programme – 4 years
Eligibility: Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. Programme:
(a) Candidates seeking admission to the Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. Programme shall have minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) or its equivalent grade in Master's Degree in Education, Social Sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university.
(b) The NET qualified candidates, who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowships by the UGC, with the above-mentioned educational qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Full-time Direct Ph. D. Programme:
1. The university also offers admission to Full-time Direct Ph. D. Programme for candidate with M. Phil. Degree in an area closely related to educational policy, planning and administration in addition to the qualifications mentioned in above and/or exceptionally brilliant academic record in social sciences/ allied areas coupled with publications of high quality.
2. M. Phil. degree holders of NUEPA will be eligible for admission to the Direct Ph. D. Programme without any further scrutiny provided they attain a FGPA of 7 or above on the ten point scale.
Candidates who are yet to clear their final examination at the Master's level are also eligible to apply provided they pass the examination as per the eligibility conditions laid down at 1 & 2 above and submit its proof at the time of the interview. The University reserves the right to cancel the admission
of such candidates who are unable to produce the evidence of passing the Master's degree by first week of July 2009.
Part-time Ph. D. Programme:
University also offers Part-time Ph. D. Programme based on the criteria as laid down in the rules of the university. A candidate seeking admission to Part-time Ph. D. Programme is required to meet the following criteria:
i. Should possess the educational qualifications as mentioned in Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. Programme above;
ii. Currently, should be in full-time employment;
iii. Should be a senior level educational functionary with a minimum of five years work experience in teaching, educational planning and administration.
How to apply-: Candidates may apply in the prescribed form (separately for each programme) for admission to M. Phil. and Ph. D. Programmes of the University along with three copies of the brief write-up on the proposed research topic on a contemporary issue within the broad framework of educational policy, planning and administration.
The Application Form and the Prospectus can be obtained from NUEPA by remitting a nonrefundable sum of Rs. 200/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST) by demand draft in favour of Registrar, NUEPA, payable at New Delhi, and if required by post or purchased in person, through a request addressed to:

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT-R) invites applications for its post-graduate and PhD admissions 2008-09.
Application process for PG programme
Applications are invited from GATE qualified candidates for admission to the post-graduate programmes leading to MTech/ MArch/ MURP for the session 2008-09. Sponsored candidates and IIT graduates without GATE are also eligible for admission.
The application form and information brochure can be downloaded from institute website from March 17, 2008 to April 17, 2008.
The filled application form should be submitted along with a demand draft of Rs 400/- for General Category or Rs 200/- for SC/ST Category, drawn in favour of "Chairman, PG Admission, IIT Roorkee" payable at Roorkee, plus fee of Rs 100/- per additional department (if applied).
