The regular colleges follow Semester Pattern and the Distance Education follows Non-semester pattern. In the University Departments Choice Based Credit System is followed by which a student is free to choose subjects of his/ her choice.

Five Year Integrated B.B.A/ M.B.A. ( Tourism and Hotel Management) (B.B.A. - 3 years / M.B.A. - 2 years)
Five Year Integrated B. Tech/ M. Tech (Film and Electronics Media Studies)
Eligibility: A pass in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) / Intermediate Examination or its Equivalent.

Age Limit : Not exceeding 21 years as on 1st July 2013. For relaxation refer prospectus.

Admission Procedures: Applications are available on the University Website - www.mkuniversity.org - Applications can be downloaded from this website and filled in applications along with the demand draft of Rs. 600/- towards registration fees drawn in favour of The Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai

This course is offered exclusively by NITHM at its campus in Hyderabad. The course curriculum and syllabus is based on inputs from disciplines of Tourism, Travel, Hospitality and General Management required for Under Graduates and adopted by JNTU-H

* BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology)

The Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology is a four year extensive programme affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H) consisting of eight semesters with 800 hours of industrial exposure training. This course is offered only at the standalone campus of NITHM. The syllabus adopted is based on outlines prescribed by AICTE and adopted by JNTU-H
