Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management- IITTM invites applications for admission to Postgraduate Diploma In Management (PGDM) programmes commencing in 2014-16.

IITTM programmes approved by AICTE in the following areas:

Eligibility : Graduation with minimum 50% (45% in case of SC/ST/PH) in any discipline. Candidates appearing in final year Graduation Examination may also apply. Candidates should have the valid score of CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/GMAT/ATMA. Those who are not having these valid scores will have to appear in TAT (Tourism Aptitude Test) Exam conducted by IITTM.

IITTM PGDM Tourism Admissions 2013

Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management (IITTM) invites application for admission to Postgraduate Diploma In Management (PGDM) programmes commencing in the session 2013.

The Program are offered in:

Tourism & Cargo at IITTM, Nellore campus
Tourism & Leisure at IITTM, Noida Campus

Eligibility: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% (45% for SC/ST) of from a recognized university.

Selection Procedure: The candidates will selected based on IITTM Aptitude Test/ CAT/ MAT/ CMAT score, group discussion and interview.

To apply: The Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from the office of Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management on payment of Rs 1,000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST) in cash.

Send the duly filled application form to admission incharge of respective campus.

Students who have not appeared in any of the entrance exams will have to appear for TAT to be conducted by IITTM on July 17, 2013 / July 19, 2013.

Oberoi Group Systematic Training and Education Programme-STEP is an opportunity for students to participate in a three-year programme that offers practical training at a hotel of The Oberoi Group. This training involves the four core operational departments in a hotel: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service and Kitchen.

IGNOU Tourism Courses Admissions 2012

IGNOU offers Master of Arts in Tourism Management (MTM), Bachelor’s in Tourism Studies (BTS) and Certificate in Tourism Studies (CTS) for not only entrepreneurs but also extends to those who are already employed, directly or indirectly in any branch of the industry.

The Master’s level programme is meant for those who intend to take managerial jobs or make a career in tourism industry (travel agency, hotel, tour operator, etc.), or providing tourism related services through their own enterprise or planning to become an entrepreneur, are associated with tourism awareness programmes and research or would like to update their knowledge and skills in the field of tourism.

Students with Bachelors in Tourism, B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Bachelors in Hotel Management (approved by AICTE) and those who have completed their graduation in any field with diploma in tourism recognized in the university set-up or by AICTE are eligible to apply for the course.

Though students with a bachelor’s degree in any field are also eligible to apply but they will have to pass four additional tourism foundation courses during their period of study. The programme is of minimum two years duration and can be completed in maximum four years.

IGNOU also offers Diploma in Tourism Studies (DTS) consisting of 36 credits (each credit equals 30 hours of study). The course content for the diploma programme includes- foundation course in tourism, tourism development: products, operations and case studies and management in tourism along with project work.

Candidates having completed Bachelors Preparatory Programme (BPP) from the university or with 10+2 or its equivalent are eligible to apply for the diploma programme.

Student handbook and prospectus is available in all the regional centers of the university as well as in the university’s headquarters which can be purchased for Rs.100 and submitted along with the requisite fee in the form of a demand draft to the concerned regional centre.

The last date to submit the application form for both the programmes is July 30, 2012 (with late fee of Rs.200 up to August 14, 2012).

For sensitizing youth to tourism

IITTM invites applications from eligible students to participate in 21 days training programme during summer vacation. Programme intends to create awareness and impart basic knowledge and skills on Tourism so that the students can work as volunteers. Programme will be organized at Gwalior, Bhubaneswar and Delhi centres.

Eligibility - Graduate or pursuing graduation, between 18 to 25 years of age, NOC from the college / institute is required for joining this programme.

Stipend - Every successful participant will be paid Rs.1,000/- for entire duration of the programme and a tourism volunteer card will be given

Selection - Selection will be made through a written examination at various centres in India on May 22, 2011.
